Aurorswillserveasclassleaders(Prefects).TheywillcoordinatethepublicationoftheDailyProphetandserveasclasscriticsduringdiscussionofthenovels.Additionally,theAurorsmaychoosetocontributeoneco-authoredarticletoeachissueoftheDailyProphet.LiketheHouses,AurorsshouldmeetforonehouraweekoutsideofclasstoprepareforclassparticipationandtoplanforanddistributetasksassociatedwithproducinganissueofTheDailyProphet.
COLLABORATIVEWRITING(15¼points):
ThreeissuesoftheDailyProphetwillbecollectivelyconceivedandcollaborativelycomposed,oneofwhichbepublishedattheendofeachfourweeksofthetwelveweeks.EachHousewillcontributetwoarticlestoeachissue.Articlesshouldbecollectivelyresearchedandcollaborativelywritten.TheAurorswilltaketheleadindesign,layout,andpublicationofeachissueandmaychoosetocontributeonearticletoeachissue.AllHouseswillaidtheAurorsinthedesign,layout,andpublicationofDailyProphetissues.Ataminimum,thisaidwilltaketheformofrevisingarticlesasrequested,attendingtoanypublicationguidelinesasdevelopedbytheAurors,andbycopyeditingarticlescarefullyundertheguidanceoftheAurors.Studentsareencouragedtobecreativeandinnovativeintheirdesigns,toexperimentwithdigitalmediaandmultimodalcomposition,andtoconsidercarefullyuseraccessandinterfacewitheachissue.

OWLswillbeadministeredatmidtermandNEWTsattheendofterm.
NEWT-takerswillworkwithmetodesigntheOWLSforfirstandsecondyearstudents.OWL-takerswillworkwithmetodesigntheNEWTS.Forthepurposesofourcourse,examinationswillbedesignedforfunratherthantoinflictsuffering.Whileyouneedtotaketheexamappropriatetoyouryear,youwillearnfullmarkssimplybyparticipatingintheexam.ThinkofourOWLsand
