Biggest Billy Goat Troll

Scene 1

Narrator: Once upon a time, there were three Billy Goats.

Littlest Billy Goat: Good morning, big brothers!

Middle-Sized Billy Goat: Good morning, Little Billy!

Biggest Billy Goat: Good morning, little brothers. Did you sleep

well?

Littlest Billy Goat: Yes, Big Bill, but I am very hungry this

morning!

Middle-Sized Billy Goat: Me, too!

Littlest Billy Goat: I want to eat the sweet grass across the river.

Middle-Sized Billy Goat: It looks delicious!

Biggest Billy Goat: Come on, let’s go and eat!

Narrator: The three Billy Goats wanted to get to the other

side of the river, but they knew that a mean troll lived

under the bridge.

Littlest Billy Goat: How can we get to the other side of the

river? I’m afraid of the troll that lives under the bridge!

Biggest Billy Goat: Don’t be scared, Little Billy.

Littlest Billy Goat: But the troll will never let us cross the

bridge!

Middle-Sized Billy Goat: There must be a way…

Biggest Billy Goat: Follow me! I’m not afraid of a small troll!

Scene 2 (on the bridge)

Narrator: The three Billy Goats kept walking. First, the littlest

Billy Goat clip-clopped onto the bridge.

Troll: Who’s that clip-clopping across my bridge?

Littlest Billy Goat: It’s me, Little Billy!

Troll: I’m going to eat you up!

Littlest Billy Goat: Wait for my brother. He is right behind me

and he is much fatter than me! He will make a better meal.

Troll: Fine, go ahead and cross the bridge. I will wait for your

brother. 2

Narrator: Next, the Middle-Sized Billy Goat clip-clopped

onto the bridge.

Troll: Who’s that clip-clopping across my bridge?

Middle-Sized Billy Goat: It’s me, Bill!

Troll: I’m going to eat you up!

Middle-Sized Billy Goat: But my big brother is even fatter

than me! He is right behind me and he will make a better

meal.

Troll: Fine, go ahead! I will wait for your brother.

Narrator: Finally, it was the Biggest Billy Goat’s turn to

cross the bridge. Clip-clop, clip-clop…

Littlest Billy Goat: I hope Big Bill will be okay!

Middle-Sized Billy Goat: He is strong and brave. The tiny

troll can’t scare him!

Troll: Who’s that clip-clopping across my bridge?

Biggest Billy Goat: It’s me, Big Bill!

Troll: I’m going to eat you up!

Biggest Billy Goat: No, you’re not!

Troll: Yes, I am! 3

Narrator: The troll appeared from under the bridge. Big

Bill snorted, lowered his head, and charged toward the

troll!

Troll: Ahhhhhhh!

Biggest Billy Goat: Let me cross the bridge, troll!

Narrator: Big Bill knocked into the troll, sending him into

the river. Splash!

Littlest Billy Goat: Hooray! Big Bill made it!

Middle-Sized Billy Goat: I told you he is strong and

brave!

Narrator: The mean, old troll was never seen again.

Biggest Billy Goat: Great job, brothers!

Middle-Sized Billy Goat: Now we can eat all of the sweet

grass that we want!

All: Yum!

Narrator: The Three Billy Goats ate the sweet grass in the

meadow and lived happily ever after.
