• PoolParty supports management & maintenance of multi-lingual (corporate) thesauri & taxonomies on top of Semantic Web standards (SKOS, RDF, OWL & SPARQL)
• PoolParty provides an easy-to-use, web-based AJAX user interface
• PoolParty Server is based on an RDF Triple Store (SAIL), incl. reasoner, (Lucene) index engine and phrase-extraction component
• PoolParty Server offers a Java-API & several interfaces: REST, HTTP (pseudo-REST) & SOAP

Managing a thesaurus with PoolParty
• import existing thesauri
• manual editing with an easy-to-use editor
• document analysis: phrase extraction & term frequency analysis
• enrich concepts by using linked data
• index builder: interfaces with index engines like Lucene to build a semantic index
• tagging: bookmarklets & tag recommender for third-party applications

Applications: Similarity Search & Semantic Search
• PoolParty TagEvent Store as a basis for a semantic index ( IndexBuilder)
• „Similarity“ is configurable: Certain features of a document can be „boosted“ (example: persons, places / user tags etc.)
• Thesaurus can be used for facetted and moderated search (examples: emteba.at, ecoi.net)
• Optional: Anbindung von linguistischen Analysewerkzeugen ( TextTech)
