Name Explanation: Mei, eyebrow; Chong, upward. The point is at the anterior hairline directly above the eyebrow. Classification:

Specific Points:

Location: On the head, directly above Cuanzhu (BL 2), 0.5 cun superior to the anterior hairline, on the line connecting Shenting (GV 24) and Quchai (BL 4). Location (previously defined):

Localization: In sitting position with the head at rest or supine position, locate the point at the intersection between the horizontal line from Shenting (GV 24) and the vertical line from Cuanzhu (BL 2). Indications: 1) Diseases of Head and Sense Organs: Conjunctival congestion, blurred vision, stuffy nose, headache, dizziness, vertigo. 2) Other Disease: Epilepsy. Mechanism of Action: This point lies in the head. Its meridian originates in the inner canthus and its muscle region is linked with the nose. Based on the local and adjacent action of acupoints and because the meridian runs through it, this point can be used to treat diseases of the face and the head. Method:
