Pomegranates and Golden Bells

The High Priest of Israel once a year on the Day of Atonement would go into the Temple and make a sacrifice for the sins of the whole nation before the LORD. Attached to the bottom of his priestly robe were pomegranates and golden bells. The bells were listened to by those who waited outside. If the sacrifice was not accepted by the LORD the High Priest would die. As long as the bells were ringing those who waited outside knew that all was well. If the High Priest died they would use a hook to slide under the partition curtain and drag his dead body out. No one else but the High Priest could enter in because the All Powerful Glory Of the LORD was inside. A Glory that no living man can stand before because of the sin that dwells in man. Sin cannot exist in God’s presence.

Exodus 28: 31-35 And thou shalt make the robe of the ephod all of blue. 32 And there shall be an hole in the top of it, in the midst thereof: it shall have a binding of woven work round about the hole of it, as it were the hole of an habergeon, that it be not rent. 33 And beneath upon the hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about: 34 A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe round about. 35 And it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goeth in unto the holy place before the LORD, and when he cometh out, that he die not. For the Christian the golden bell and a pomegranate have spiritual significance. They are representative of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. The golden bell giving a pure sound represents the Holy Spirit that testifies to our heart the truth of the Word of God. The pomegranate is representative of the Word of God, which contains many seeds of truth. The Pomegranate, the many seeded fruit – The Word of God 1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. The word of God is the incorruptible seed, like the many seeded pomegranate contains many seeds of deep truths. 2 Corinthians 9:10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)

The word of God increases the fruits of your righteousness. Zechariah 8:12 For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things. The word of God causes you to possess all things spiritual. 1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. Mark 4:26-30 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; 27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. 28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. 29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come. 30 And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? 31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: 32 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it. The kingdom of God is likened to a seed that is small, it began with Christ, the seed groweth and becomes greater than all others and the spiritual people rest in the cool comfortable shadow or shade of it.

The Golden Bell – A Clear Resonant Ring– The Spirit of Truth John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: The Spirit of God is a Comforter and is the Spirit of truth. John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 1 John 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. Zechariah 14:20 In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD’S house shall be like the bowls before the altar. Zechariah the fourteen chapter is about the destruction of those who trouble Jerusalem and the Jews. After the return of the LORD holiness that will be so prevalent that even household cooking implements will be as holy as the ritual vessels of the Temple. Haggai 2:19 Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you.

My desire is more seed in the barn of my heart. HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD. AMEN
