The PolySlicer 1000 offers versatility, slicing accuracy and high throughput.

PolySlicer 1000 is designed for processors who

require a compact, versatile and easy to use

machine.

An involute or orbital cutting head and a large

slicing aperture enable multi-log slicing to produce

stacks or shingles – fast.

All options, including cutting head, interleaver,

variety conveyor and stacker, can be fitted on site at

any time, making it easy to meet future production

needs without major investment.

CHOICEOFCUTTINGHEADS

Involute blade for high speed slicing or orbital blade for slicing of delicate or large products.

PRODUCTCONTROL

Automatic product retraction prevents sliver slices between packs while improving presentation and yield.

PRESENTATION

Presentation formats include shingles, stacks, stagger stacks, shaved or thick (steak) slices. Optional stacker for tall stacks up to 100 mm. Optional variety conveyor produces a wide range of presentation patterns and formats. Interleaved and underleaved shingles and stacks can be produced by an optional interleaver.

Variety Conveyor In addition to the standard presentation formats

(shingled, stacked, shaved), the PolySlicer 1000

VarietyConveyor produces a wide variety of

portion patterns enabling processors to respond

to retail trends, including circles, interlaced and

overlapped shingles.

● Can be retro-fitted to cater for future needs

● Quick and simple change of patterns via the

slicer control panel

● Use with orbital and involute blade

Interleaver The PolySlicer 1000 Interleaver can interleave

a wide range of cooked and cured meats,

bacon, natural and fragile products including

cheese. The machine can interleave single

slices within a group and/or insert a sheet

under complete groups in individual, twin or

triple lane operation.

● Independent cutting of paper and of

product provides controllable paper

positioning for excellent presentation

● Easy access for quick reel change and

cleaning

● Can be retro-fitted to cater for future needs

● Use with orbital and involute blade

● Multilane operation

EASYLOADING

Automatic product gripper combines with optional ergonomic load assist to provide fast and easy loading. Wide range of standard grippers provides flexibility and the ability to handle a wide variety of products.

Marel’s pedigree in high speed slicing was born out of the long and unrivalled experience of three famous companies, each of whom achieved leadership in their respective fields.

AEW Engineering was founded in 1947 and soon gained a reputation

as one the world’s leading manufacturers of high speed bandsaws,

later becoming pioneers of automatic portion control slicers and saws

- products which are still a food industry standard.

Thurne Engineering was formed in 1969 as an innovative, forward

thinking manufacturer of food processing machinery. The company

was quick to embrace, pioneer and include the then new vision and

computer technologies in a range of high speed slicers which gave

bacon, cheese and cooked meat processors huge savings and gains in

production efficiency.

Delford was established in 1965 and earned a world wide reputation

for its pioneering labelling and dynamic weighing technology. The

company manufactured some of the fastest and most accurate weigh

price labelling, checkweighing, grading, labelling, wrapping and

sleeving machines and systems in the world, thanks to its continuing

dedication to innovation and high quality.

In 1999 the three companies combined their resources to form AEW

Delford Systems. In 2006 they became a vital part of Marel, a company

which, thanks to substantial investment in resources and technology,

offers the very best in high speed slicing, robotics and end of line

machines and systems.
