The new generation of A&S Polymer Block

Chains, notably, the 2K-Polymer Block

Chain, uses a design which is unique

within the chain industry. lt consists of a

highly, wear-resistant base chain and a

clip, which can be attached separately.

lt was the need for exchangeable polymer

blocks, that prompted the development

of this new family of products. Both the

range of applications and the service life

of the base chain are considerably

increased.

The new design of the externally attached

clip can be repeatedly replaced during

the chain’s lifetime.

No longer does the whole chain need

replacing, only the individual clips.

Consequently, production downtimes due

to repairs are drastically reduced.

Arnold & Stolzenberg’s revolutionary

chain clip design has moved chain tech-

nology in to a completely new direction.

The surface consists of wear-resistant

yellow polyurethane with a blue base of

reinforced polyamide. The combining of

these two components result in a very

durable bond.

The classical Polymer Block Chain com-

bined with the advanced A&S roller

chains are exceptionally welI-suited for

conveyance functions of all kinds, by

virtue of their high wear-resistance, for

that purpose the chains are fitted with

steel U-type attachments to extend their

contact surface. In order to protect the

sensitive surfaces, these attachments

have to be fitted with polymer materials.

To guarantee safe conveyance of all

kinds of goods, these polymers are

available in various levels of hardness

and wear-resistance. lt is even possible

to obtain resistance to numerous

chemicals.

A&S is renowned as a manufacturer of

this approved chain design. The extre-

mely wide product range, with pitches

ranging from 1/2” to 1 1/2” is second to

none in the market.
