Polish Presidency of the Council of European Union
01.07.-31.12.2011 Dynamics, positive energy and solidarity - these values are presented by a logo. The aim of the logo is to present Poland as a modern country with young spirit which is bringing about positive changes in the whole of Europe.
The author of the logo is Jerzy Janiszewski - designer the world-renowned logo of "Solidarność" (Solidarity), which became a historic symbol of Polish struggle for freedom and democratic reforms in this part of the world.

Modern, original and very useful guide to Poland. In attractive and easy way, the guide helps foreigners to understand Poland and Polish people, to discover most interesting places which are recommended by public persons and culture animators. On 208 pages consistent, clear and current view of most important spheres of economic, cultural and community life of Poland is presented (8 Chapters). It draws attention to places, people and phenomena which
emphasis Poland's rich traditions on the one hand and its creativity, modernity and dynamism on the other.

• Many cultural projects of Polish Institutes in 22 cities of Europe and USA and several hundred projects by over 100 Polish embassies all around the world.
Polish Presidency is an excellent occasion to promote Polish Cuisine. One of the
most appreciated Polish cuisine masters, Adam Chrząstowski, is a supervisor of select menu with Polish dishes which are based on native products prepared for high level meetings in Poland and Brussels. Foreign delegations and journalists visiting Poland during the time of Presidency will receive a collection of recipes for Polish dishes in new, modern arrangements prepared by 16 chefs; three of them are foreigners who work in the best Polish restaurants. Every recipe includes a product which is associating with Polish cuisine (f.ex. herring, cucumber, buckwheat groats, poppy seedsand venison). Each recipe is preceded by description of a product and its cultural context which is comprehensible for foreign receiver. Publication is enhanced by modern illustrations.
