According to decisions of the Energy Community Ministerial Council meeting held in

Budva on 18 October 2012, the Republic of Serbia is committed to:

• Increase the share of RES in consumption from 21.2% in 2009 to 27% in 2020.

(5.8%)

• Increase the share of biofuel consumption in the transport sector from 0% in 2009

to 10% in 2020.

• Sales of renewable energy to other countries ("statistical transfers" and

"distribution rules") will be possible only upon approval of the Secretariat of the

EC, and only in case that the indicative trajectory and mandatory RES target are

exceeded

• Adoption of the corresponding Acquis until 1 January 2014

According to the Action Plan for RES of t RS, with an estimated 10% reduction in final

energy consumption, in 2020 it will amount to 9.495 Mtoe (in 2009 it was 9.150 Mtoe),

which means that the final energy consumption will be increased for 0.345 Mtoe only,

ie. for 3.8% over a period of 11 years.
