Police Officer Cadet Requirements: Incumbent must hold a valid California Driver’s License and a high school diploma or equivalent at time of appointment and successfully pass a background investigation, psychological exam, polygraph and medical. The cadet also receives training in report writing, physical fitness techniques, firearms use and maintenance, and arrest and control techniques.
