• CAUTION: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced.

Replace only by the same type or equivalent type.

• The battery should not be exposed to excessive heat such as that of the

sun, a fire or the like.

• Different types of batteries or new and used batteries should not be

mixed.

• The battery must be inserted respecting the polarity.

• If the battery is worn, it must be removed from the

product.

• The battery must be disposed of safely. Deposit in planned collection

bins (ask your dealer) to protect the environment.

• Listening to a high-power music player can damage the user's ear and

cause hearing impairment (temporary or permanent deafness, tinnitus,

tinnitus, hyperacusis). It is therefore strongly recommended not to use the

player at full volume or more than one hour per day at medium volume.

• SWITCH OFF IN REGULATED AREAS Turn the power off when

wireless device use is not allowed or when it may cause interference or

danger, for example on board a vehicle. airplane, close to medical equipment,

fuels, chemicals or areas where explosives are used.

• ROAD SAFETY BEFORE EVERYTHING Check the laws and

regulations in force regarding the use of connected devices in the areas

where you drive.

• Do not hold the watch in your hand while driving.

• Focus all your attention on driving.

• Use a hands-free kit, if possible.

• Leave the road and park before making or receiving a call, if driving

conditions so require.

• Radio frequencies can affect certain electronic systems in your vehicle, such

as the stereo audio system or safety equipment.

• When your vehicle is equipped with an airbag, do not interfere with its

tripping with wireless or fixed equipment. It could indeed cause serious injury

due to inadequate performance.

• INTERFERENCE

All wireless devices may experience interference that may affect their

performance.

• AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL Only qualified personnel are

authorized to install or repair this product.

• ACCESSORY Use only batteries, chargers, and other accessories that

are compatible with this unit. Do not connect incompatible products

• KEEP YOUR APPLIANCE DRY Your appliance

is not waterproof. Keep it dry.

• CHILD Keep your watch in a safe place out of the reach of young children.

Your watch includes small parts that may present a choking hazard.

• EMERGENCY CALLS Emergency numbers may not be available on all

cellular networks. You should not rely solely on your watch to make an

Precautions for use of the device

This mobile device complies with the guidelines for exposure to radio waves.

Your mobile device is a radio transceiver. It has been designed to comply with

the limits recommended by the International Guidelines for Exposure to Radio

Frequencies. These guidelines were developed by an independent scientific

organization, ICNIRP; they incorporate safety margins designed to ensure the

protection of all, regardless of age and health status. The exposure guidelines

for mobile devices are based on a unit of measurement known as the Specific

Absorption Rate (SAR). The SAR limit defined in the ICNIRP guidelines is 2.0

watts / kilogram (W / kg) averaged over 10 grams of tissue. In tests to

determine SAR, the device is used in standard operating positions and

operates at its highest certified power level in all tested frequency bands. The

actual SAR level of the device in use may be less than the maximum value

because the device is designed to use only the power needed to reach the

network. This value changes depending on a number of factors such as the

distance from a network base station.

Radio Frequency Interference Radio frequency emissions from electronic

devices can interfere with the operation of other electronic devices and cause

malfunctions. Although this unit has been designed, tested and manufactured

in accordance with such regulations on radio frequency emissions of the

European Union, the wireless transmitters and electrical circuits of the camera

can cause interference with other electronic equipment. We recommend that

you take the following precautions:

Aircraft: Wireless devices can cause interference in aircraft.

• Turn off your watch before boarding an airplane.

• Do not use it on the runway without crew authorization.

Vehicles: Radio Frequency emissions from the watch may affect the

electronic system of motor vehicles. Regarding your vehicle, check with the

manufacturer or his representative.

Medical Implants: Medical device manufacturers recommend a minimum

distance of 15 centimeters between a wireless device and a medical implant

Page 6: Polaroid POLAM600-001 User Guide...Polaroid POLAM600-001 User Guide OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Safety Instructions: Read these safety instructions carefully before using your appliance

such as a pacemaker or defibrillator to avoid interference with the medical

device. It is recommended to persons equipped with such devices: -Always

make sure to keep the wireless device at a distance of more than 15 cm from

the medical device. -Don't wear the wireless device in a breast pocket. -To

place the wireless device at the ear opposite to the medical device. -Turn off

the wireless device if they think interference may occur. -To follow the

instructions provided by the manufacturer of their medical implant.

If you have a medical implant and have questions about using your wireless

device, consult your doctor.

Hearing: Warning: If you use a headset, you may not be able to hear external

sounds correctly. Do not use the headset where it can endanger your safety.

Some wireless devices may interfere with the proper functioning of some

hearing aids.

Other medical devices: Radio transmission equipment, including wireless

telephones, may interfere with the proper functioning of inadequately shielded

medical devices. Consult a physician or the manufacturer of the medical

device to determine if they are properly shielded from external radio frequency

signals. Turn off your device in areas where regulations require it, especially

in hospitals.

Health facilities: Hospitals and health facilities may use equipment that is

particularly sensitive to external radiofrequency emissions. Turn off the clock

when staff or signs invite you.

Explosive areas and reported sites: Turn off your device in areas with

potentially explosive atmospheres. Comply with all posted instructions. Sparks

in such areas can cause an explosion or fire, causing serious bodily injury or

death. Turn off your device at gas stations, near fuel pumps at gas stations.

Strictly observe restrictions on use in fuel depots, storage and distribution

areas, chemical plants or where explosives are used. Areas where the

atmosphere is potentially explosive are often, but not always, clearly marked.

These include areas where it is usually advisable to shut down the engine of

vehicles, the area below the deck of boats, facilities for the transfer or storage

of chemicals and areas with air containing chemicals or particles, for example

Page 7: Polaroid POLAM600-001 User Guide...Polaroid POLAM600-001 User Guide OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Safety Instructions: Read these safety instructions carefully before using your appliance

grain, dust or metal powders. Also check vehicle manufacturers using

liquefied petroleum gas (such as propane or butane) if the apparatus can be

safely used in these vehicles.

All of our connected devices comply with international and, where applicable,

national standards and regulations to limit the exposure of users to

electromagnetic fields. These standards and regulations were adopted after

extensive scientific research. This research does not establish a link between

the use of a connected watch and any adverse health effects if the device is

used in accordance with applicable standards and regulations. However, if

you want to reduce the level of exposure to radiofrequency radiation you can

apply the following rules: -Use the device in good reception conditions to

reduce the amount of radiation. To do this, avoid using it in underground car

parks, when traveling by train or car. -Using the device when the watch

catches the best (display of a maximum of network reception strips). -Use a

hands-free kit while making sure to keep the watch away from the belly for

pregnant women and lower abdomen for teenagers.

Environment and Use This device meets RF exposure guidelines when used

either in its normal position or at a distance of at least 1.5 centimeters. When

a case, belt clip or stand is used for transportation purposes, it must not

contain any metal parts and must place the device at a minimum distance

from your body. Sending data or message files requires a good connection to

the network. Sending files or messages may be delayed until such a

connection is possible. Follow the instructions for separation distance until the

transmission is complete.
