Precautions for use of the device
This mobile device complies with the guidelines for exposure to radio waves.
Your mobile device is a radio transceiver. It has been designed to comply with
the limits recommended by the International Guidelines for Exposure to Radio
Frequencies. These guidelines were developed by an independent scientific
organization, ICNIRP; they incorporate safety margins designed to ensure the
protection of all, regardless of age and health status. The exposure guidelines
for mobile devices are based on a unit of measurement known as the Specific
Absorption Rate (SAR). The SAR limit defined in the ICNIRP guidelines is 2.0
watts / kilogram (W / kg) averaged over 10 grams of tissue. In tests to
determine SAR, the device is used in standard operating positions and
operates at its highest certified power level in all tested frequency bands. The
actual SAR level of the device in use may be less than the maximum value
because the device is designed to use only the power needed to reach the
network. This value changes depending on a number of factors such as the
distance from a network base station.
Radio Frequency Interference Radio frequency emissions from electronic
devices can interfere with the operation of other electronic devices and cause
malfunctions. Although this unit has been designed, tested and manufactured
in accordance with such regulations on radio frequency emissions of the
European Union, the wireless transmitters and electrical circuits of the camera
can cause interference with other electronic equipment. We recommend that
you take the following precautions:
Aircraft: Wireless devices can cause interference in aircraft.
• Turn off your watch before boarding an airplane.
• Do not use it on the runway without crew authorization.
Vehicles: Radio Frequency emissions from the watch may affect the
electronic system of motor vehicles. Regarding your vehicle, check with the
manufacturer or his representative.
Medical Implants: Medical device manufacturers recommend a minimum
distance of 15 centimeters between a wireless device and a medical implant
such as a pacemaker or defibrillator to avoid interference with the medical
device. It is recommended to persons equipped with such devices: -Always
make sure to keep the wireless device at a distance of more than 15 cm from
the medical device. -Don't wear the wireless device in a breast pocket. -To
place the wireless device at the ear opposite to the medical device. -Turn off
the wireless device if they think interference may occur. -To follow the
instructions provided by the manufacturer of their medical implant.
If you have a medical implant and have questions about using your wireless
device, consult your doctor.
Hearing: Warning: If you use a headset, you may not be able to hear external
sounds correctly. Do not use the headset where it can endanger your safety.
Some wireless devices may interfere with the proper functioning of some
hearing aids.
Other medical devices: Radio transmission equipment, including wireless
telephones, may interfere with the proper functioning of inadequately shielded
medical devices. Consult a physician or the manufacturer of the medical
device to determine if they are properly shielded from external radio frequency
signals. Turn off your device in areas where regulations require it, especially
in hospitals.
Health facilities: Hospitals and health facilities may use equipment that is
particularly sensitive to external radiofrequency emissions. Turn off the clock
when staff or signs invite you.
Explosive areas and reported sites: Turn off your device in areas with
potentially explosive atmospheres. Comply with all posted instructions. Sparks
in such areas can cause an explosion or fire, causing serious bodily injury or
death. Turn off your device at gas stations, near fuel pumps at gas stations.
Strictly observe restrictions on use in fuel depots, storage and distribution
areas, chemical plants or where explosives are used. Areas where the
atmosphere is potentially explosive are often, but not always, clearly marked.
These include areas where it is usually advisable to shut down the engine of
vehicles, the area below the deck of boats, facilities for the transfer or storage
of chemicals and areas with air containing chemicals or particles, for example
grain, dust or metal powders. Also check vehicle manufacturers using
liquefied petroleum gas (such as propane or butane) if the apparatus can be
safely used in these vehicles.
All of our connected devices comply with international and, where applicable,
national standards and regulations to limit the exposure of users to
electromagnetic fields. These standards and regulations were adopted after
extensive scientific research. This research does not establish a link between
the use of a connected watch and any adverse health effects if the device is
used in accordance with applicable standards and regulations. However, if
you want to reduce the level of exposure to radiofrequency radiation you can
apply the following rules: -Use the device in good reception conditions to
reduce the amount of radiation. To do this, avoid using it in underground car
parks, when traveling by train or car. -Using the device when the watch
catches the best (display of a maximum of network reception strips). -Use a
hands-free kit while making sure to keep the watch away from the belly for
pregnant women and lower abdomen for teenagers.
Environment and Use This device meets RF exposure guidelines when used
either in its normal position or at a distance of at least 1.5 centimeters. When
a case, belt clip or stand is used for transportation purposes, it must not
contain any metal parts and must place the device at a minimum distance
from your body. Sending data or message files requires a good connection to
the network. Sending files or messages may be delayed until such a
connection is possible. Follow the instructions for separation distance until the
transmission is complete.
