PMDPro™isabreakthroughPMDsourcethatcandeterministicallygenerateprecise1storderPMDup to180psand2ndorderPMDup to8100ps2. Itsquasi-continuousoperationmodeenables independentgenerationof firstorderandwavelength independentsecondorderPMDforuniformcoverageofthePMDspace.Itcontainsanautomaticpolarizationcontrollerandtwopolarimetersthatmonitorthestateofpolarization(SOP)anddegreeofpolarization(DOP)beforeandafter thePMDgeneratingelements.Thepolarizationcontrollercanbeusedwith the frontpolarimetertoautomaticallyalignandmaintaintheinputSOPat45°fromtheprincipalaxisoftheDGDelementtoobtaintheworst-casefirstorderPMDeffect.Alternatively,thecontrollercanautomaticallyadjustandmaintain the inputSOPusing the feedback fromtherearpolarimeter
toeitherminimizeormaximizetheoutputDOPforeachPMDsetting.MinimizingtheoutputDOPenablestestingoftheworst-casetotalPMDeffect,whilemaximizingtheDOPturnsthePMDPro™intoaPMDcompensator,allowingtheusertoobtainoptimizedPMDvalues forPMDcompensation. PMDPro™canalsoperformPMDemulationbygeneratingstatisticalPMDdistributions. Finally, thepolarization controller and polarimeters enable variable rate scrambling and deterministic polarization control functions, including trace generationandpolarizationstabilizationatanySOP.PMDPro™makesyourPMDrelatedsystemstestingsimple,fast,andprofessional.
Features:.1st&2ndorderPMDsource.1st&2ndorderPMDemulator. Automatic polarization alignment. Polarization scrambling.PMDcompensation.RapidPMDswitching:1ms
Applications:.SystemPMDtolerancetest.PMDcompensatorevaluation.SystemPMDemulation.OptimizingPMDvaluesforPMDC.PMDmeasurementinstrumentcalibration
