After visiting the monasteries, tasting Moldovan’s wine should not be missed.
With a production of more than 100,000 tons of wine (2009), Moldova has a well-established wine industry.
The vineyards in villages around the houses make home-made wine, or "vin de casa". Many families have their own recipes and strands of grapes that have been passed down through the generations.
