Poland Evangelical Mission October, 2011 “POLAND PLUS” A way to make the most of your interest in Poland. Poland needs the gospel! Fewer than one percent of the population are evangelical. One hundred cities of 25,000 or more people have no gospel preaching church. Most small cities and villages are without a gospel witness. Nearly all Polish evangelical pastors must work secularly in order to make it. Laborers are few, cost of living is high. However, so is the determination of our Polish brothers and sisters who know Christ! And we can help them. Praying, giving and going are three important things to do if we want to help make a difference for God in Poland. Not everyone will be able to go. However, everyone who will, can pray. And, almost everyone can give at least a little to help the effort financially. POLAND PLUS IS A CALL TO ALL OF US TO DO ONE, TWO, OR ALL THREE OF THESE THINGS. Hereʼs how: Want to go? Let us know! It is so simple, but it can change your life (and make a difference in Poland) forever. Email us ([email protected]), or call Russ Brown at 612-825-7273, and letʼs talk about it. Willing to pray? Hereʼs a way: Use the monthly newsletter as a prayer guide throughout each month. It will make an eternal difference in what God is doing in Poland. Inclined to give, but need to live? Hereʼs an idea: Can you give a minimum of $10.00 a month? If the 632 people on our mailing list that have not felt able to give anything could start by giving $10.00 a month, that would provide $6,320 more each month for ministry in Poland. Would you be a part of that! Poland is about the size of Wisconsin and Minnesota combined. Its present population is in excess of nearly forty million people. PEM is involved with Polish ministry in four ways: church development, Christian camping, seminary education and special projects. What will PEM do with money given? Naturally, we will send more money to Poland. They need it more than we do, and thatʼs the way Godʼs family works; those who have give to those who do not. We will also develop a “Home Office” fund, from which money will be set aside to help support a director here. This person will then be able to give himself more fully to the task of developing PEMʼs effectiveness. (For more about Poland Plus, please see the back page.)

Will we be hearing more about Poland Plus?Yes! Actually we plan to speak to as many as we can contact by phone. Please donʼt fret. Our purpose in calling is not to talk
you into doing something you donʼt want to do. That is not how we go about doing Godʼs work. We ask you to pray about your involvement. Then when we call you can ask us any questions you may have, and let us know what you feel led to do.
How much is enough?Good question! Some are in a position to give more than $10.00 a month. What anyone gives is between themselves and God.
We are merely suggesting a starting point.
Just think of this: if we can all increase what we give, if we will all commit ourselves to consistently pray for Poland, and if a few more of us will serve through a short-term mission trip there, we will see God work more greatly through our efforts!

In Zamosc (L.to R.), A Wednesday night Bible study, baptismal service, American team members share a special moment with Polish children. Zamosc celebrated 25 years of ministry this summer with a full array of outreach activities, in Zamosc as well as nearby towns.
In Pszczyna (L.to R.) ministry goes on, rain or shine amidst huge apartment complexes. Childen hear the gospel, and adults are never left out. Plans are already in the making for even greater outreach efforts in the coming year.
This Polish leadership team (L.), and these three girls (R.), as well as about 75 of their friends each benefited from the assistance of a team from Maple Grove Free Church (MN) for a very successful children’s camp in Poland this summer.
Space limits us from reporting on all the summer activities, but these represent the great effort to reach new people for Christ.
