World Computer Literacy Day

To observe World computer Literacy Day on 2nd December, a special assembly was

organised by PIS,ICSE,Aurangabad students of class I to X were a part of the

celebration. The theme “Digital India” was personified through changing lives of

Indian citizens using dance and drama. It was followed by enactment displaying

how computer and IT have revolutionized our daily lifestyle. Presence of computer,

IT gadgets and WIFI all around us, was beautifully showcased by students of class

V to X. Computer Gizmos of school were awarded Techno titles on this day.

The assembly commenced with Technology dance by students. Principal

Mr. Prashant Muley applauded to the students and Computer Department. Overall

the assembly was successful in giving a strong impact and spreading Computer

Literacy.

To spread Computer litercy, a special initiative was undertaken by computer Dept.

faculty in which housemaids and house keeping staff were given basic computer

training.

Podar Voice of the Year

Podar Voice of the Year, the event which is conducted every year to give a

platform to the budding singers.

This event is being successfully conducted from past seven years. It is an

endavour by our eminent Principal Mr. Prashant Muley.

Podar International School, ICSE, is the only school who has such an event in

the planner to encourage the singers at a tender age.The singers have undergone

through three audition rounds and only best 20 were selected out of 265

students the expertise of the music field were called to take audition.

Nuturing of child is done by the collaboration of teachers and parents together.

parents played a vital role in selection of song.

This year on 3rd of December a theme based event was conducted in which

students sung the songs of the great musicians R.D. Burman, Salil Choudhary,

Shankar Ehsaan Loy and Khayyam.

The renowned musician and singer Mr.Atul Dive has graced the occasion by

being a chief guest of the eve.Mrs.Vaishali Kurtudikar & Mrs.Akshata Muley

were the judges of the show.

The event was a great success and everyone was mesmerized by the song sung

by the students.The audience rejoiced the songs and went home bearing the

melody of the songs which seems to be never ending.

Annual Day (Primary Section)

Celebrations are a very common things for people all around the world and they

bring in a feeling of festivity in everyone. The Primary section was entrusted with

the theme “A Time to Celebrate”. Chief guest Dy Mayor of Aurangabad Mrs Smita

Ghogre and Principal PIS,ICSE, MR. Prashant Muley inaugurated this event.

A 15-scene long script ,depicting a travel show covering traditional and unique

ways New Year Celebrations around the world was showcased. The story was

interlinked by a variety of colourful dance performances and enthralling music

and dramatic skills.

The stage setup was well equipped to provide the technical requirements which

led to a smooth performance. The backdrop designs, lights and props were

impeccably organized for each scene. On a signing note, the Principal and The

Chief guest appreciated and applauded for the incredible efforts put up by the

students.

Annual Day (Secondary Section)

“Be the change, that you want to see in the world. Be the change, that will

eventually create the changed world.”

In the same line, PIS, ISCE, had taken a mammoth step to bring about social

awareness through noble acts presented in the form of Annual Day by secondary

students on 23rd December 2016 in the presence of Chief guest Mr Milind

Ranade, Entrepreneur and Head of School Committee of S.B. High School

Aurangabad.

This benevolent theme was showcased by generous, accomplished Podarian

through a sensitive story of a tiny protagonist “ Sandhya”. The elite crowd of

performers made the complete show live and in absolute unsurpassed pattern,

touching every soul of eminent spectators.The prologue of the story gives a vivid

image of extremely zealous and corrective action carried out on bringing little but

effective changes in the present surrounding of the girl.

These steps later on gave birth to the never ending and exulting national

campaign „Sandhya‟ which was thereafter brought to a great success by the joint

efforts of Sandhya‟s family members and all those who were deeply touched by

the girl‟s selfless deeds.

once again its Podarian who showcased the need of change with responsibility.

The school head Mr.Prashant Muley expressed his overwhelming gratitude

towards the school staff for making the theme creditable.

Principal Mr.Prashant Muley’s Interview on SAAM TV

The Pride of PIS(ICSE), Mr. Prashant Muley was invited for an interview on

SAAM TV Marathi, program named “Shikshanachya Vata”. Sir was asked to give

his valuable and visionary perspective on the theme which board should be

selected by the parents for their ward and why?

In this interview Sir clarified ICSE is a council not a board. He said education

should be given in the mothertounge so that children can understand and

express their thought well. If the Marathi medium raise their bar for sure it will

be discerning public.

Why English Medium is given more emphasis by parents now a days?

For this question Sir said as the official language is Englsih, fundamental things

are provided very effectively in English medium and more than that parents

thinks that the education which they didn‟t receive should be provide to their

kids. He also said India‟s identity is being shifted in class room.

Sir concluded his interview by saying , to nurture the child is responsibility of

the parents and teachers and if they work in collaboration then only it is

possible. Positive envolvement of parents is very much required. He also

emphasis on checking the efficiency for their ward and accept the fact so the

child won‟t feel pressurize.

Visit to Wonder Land…. Dubai and Abu Dhabi !!!

Podar International School (ICSE) the global citizens after the NASA trip explored

the Dubai city on their expedition they visited Dhow cruse, Museum, Desert

Safari , Abu Dhabi, Various malls. Burj Khalifa,UW zoo and many more. It was a

thrilling and most memorable experience for the students and icing on the cake

was the Principal Mr. Prashant Muley accompanying them and giving valuable

inputs to them.
