During that time, we discovered that The Lord Jesus Christ said He came to fulfill the Law and the Prophets of Israel, not abolish them. Notice how all the major events of His ministry directly coincide with the 7 holy Festivals/Celebrations the Lord commanded the Israelites to observe. 1. He was Crucified on the Festival of Passover, 2. Buried on the Feast of Unleavened Bread, 3. Resurrected on Festival of First Fruits (1 Cor. 15:20) 4. Sent the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. We are now living between Pentecost, when God sent us His Holy Spirit and Rosh Hashana. This season in Israel’s life was know as a harvest time. Just as they harvested the fields that were ripe, so the Holy Spirit is harvesting souls for the Kingdom of God, as new believers are coming into God’s family through Jesus Christ. Rosh Hashana is the next Festival that has yet to be fulfilled by Jesus Christ. Rosh Hashana, also known as the Festival of Trumpets. Those who do not believe in the rapture would call it the Second Coming of Christ. We discover in 1 Thess. 4:16 and 1 Cor. 15:51-52 that when Christ returns for His Church He will let out a loud shout, followed by the sound of the trumpet. In ancient Israel, Rosh Hashanah begins the Ten Days of Penitence, which ends on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. The Jews believe Rosh Hashanah is the beginning of God's annual judgment of humanity. At that time, God decides who will continue to live and who will die during the coming year. ~Source World Book Encyclopedia. For Christians, we see that Jesus will begin the judgment upon the earth, once He fulfils Rosh Hashana and takes the Church out of the world upon His return. Once the rapture of the Church occurs, there will be judgment upon the earth unequal to any time in history, as our Lord records in Matthew’s Gospel chapter 24 also known as the Great Tribulation. During this time the Lord will fulfill the next Festival which is Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, when God will draw many Jews to Christ. The final Festival will be celebrated during Christ’s 1,000 year reign on earth and in the Coming eternal Kingdom know as the Festival of Tabernacles, which is when God dwells with us face to face in His eternal Kingdom (Revelation 21). We do not know when Jesus will come back exactly, but Rosh Hashanah comes every year and this year it begins on Wednesday September 8 th and ends on Thursday September 9 th . You might also be interested to know that in keeping with the prophesies of Daniel, the anti-Christ, also known as the man of lawlessness will make a peace treaty between Israel and Palestine. Keep a close eye on this present administration as President Obama is seeking to bring a peace treaty with Israel and Palestine during the time of Rosh Hashanah. Be ready. Keep looking up. For your redemption may be closer than you think. Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus PJV

*WANTED * People to minister in the

Czech Republic over Easter

Is God calling you to reach out to the Czech Republic? This is a 10-day whirlwind of activity meant to bring the lost to Christ through teaching conversational English. Example lesson plans from an ESL instructor in the Czech Republic will be provided along with an excellent source book, but preparation is required in order to be a truly successful. We need between 5 and 10 believers (with endurance) to assist a new church plant in Kurim, Czech Republic (Moravia). Our plane will depart from Boston and arrive in Prague where we will be met by the Garaz Church van and taken to the town of Kurim about two and a half hours east. We will stay at an old communist youth camp near Kurim where there is room for teachers and students and the excellent Czech cooking staff who will feed us well during the 4-day English Weekend as we minister to Czech teens and possibly adults. Easter Sunday morning is special and hopefully we will witness baptisms in the cold outdoor pool at the camp. Laura and Radek Kolarik will also welcome us to their home to participate in the Garaz Church ministry. Each day we will have devotions together as a group and share special prayer requests – Czechs will begin to join in which is so encouraging. We will likely be involved additionally in hiking and various other sports as well as social activities as we engage those to whom the Garaz ministers. We will also travel to the high school in Tisnov to talk about American culture and customs and answer their questions as they practice their English with native speakers (us!). This has been an excellent source of contacts for the Garaz ministry and has become an annual event for the school – PTL! On the way back to the States we usually have an afternoon and evening to visit Prague and stay with a local family before we depart for home. The individual cost of this outreach (transportation to/from Waldoboro, airfare, room and board and transportation in the Czech) will be between $1,100 and $1500 and we will teach you how to write prayer/support letters in order to raise prayer and financial support. The commitment to go is better made early so we can start praying together, doing devotions together, compose prayer /support letters, learn about the culture, learn some basic Czech words, develop lesson plans and prepare ourselves spiritually and physically. To assist us you will be introduced to those who have ministered there in the past and a strong sense of fellowship will form. There is limited space because of transportation and accommodations so please contact Jeff Norton soon at 207 529 2333 or email him at [email protected]. You may also contact Radek and Laura Kolarik at [email protected]. The Czech Republic was under communist control just 20 years ago. Atheism is by far the predominant worldview. Far less than 2% of the population considers themselves Evangelical, so please consider how you can help make this Easter 2011 come alive in the Czech Republic.

In the Beginning Food Co-Op Information and Membership day is Saturday, September 19, 2010 from 1-3 PM on Depot St near the RR tracks. Why pay high prices for natural and organic foods and other items at the grocery store when you can purchase what you need at wholesale prices in the comfort of your own home and pick it up once a month. Most items are purchased in bulk. That's why it's a Co-op. We share the bulk quantities with others so that we can purchase only what we need at bulk pricing. You will have the opportunity to review the buying club catalog, place an order from the catalog or use 1 of 3 computers to place your order on the Buying Club website, learn how to access the hot sheets for both United Foods and Albert's Organics and update contact information. Please contact Rusty Delano at 207-542-3779 or [email protected] for more information, including directions.
