    Update: Where are we in the process?

    Goals for Marsh Management Based on input from leaders, residents, scientists, marsh managers and environmental groups 1. Sustain the presence of native marsh communities and the biological diversity they support 2. Promote marsh resiliency to sea level rise 3. Maintain or enhance the marsh's ability to provide storm protection for the Village of Piermont 4. Increase both scientific knowledge and public understanding of the marsh

    Fact-Finding Objectives Address some of the questions and concerns raised by the community Establish a shared foundation of scientific information Identify subregions of the marsh with different characteristics Identify research and monitoring priorities Inform the objectives of the marsh management plan Fact-Finding Topics Piermont Marsh habitats and biological diversity (9/30/14) Water quality and the marsh (11/13/14) Role of the marsh in providing storm protection for the Village (1/7/15) Marsh vegetation management (5/21/15)
