"Plug and Play" retrofitSchneider Electric offers you the benefit of true lifecycle support for your electrical distribution system. The “Plug & Play” retrofit solution delivered by Schneider Electric enables fast and simple retrofitting of your existing Masterpact M device with a considerable reduction in shut-down time. The existing Masterpact M chassis is retained. Busbar and cable connections are not disturbed, only the circuit concerned needs to be isolated (for as little as 30 minutes*).

Fast and simple implementation, which retains the original chassis

The factory modified and adapted "Plug and Play" Masterpact NW is designed for installation in the original Masterpact M chassis.

On-site implementation is very simple:

Replacement of original racks

Two new racks are installed in place of the original racks in the Masterpact M chassis.

Wire guide support replacement

All Masterpact NW functions are pre-wired; our technician only has to connect the functions required according to the accessories fitted.

30 minutes* and 2 easy operations

"Plug and Play" into energy savingsThe Masterpact NW range incorporates the latest technology to enhance both performance and safety. The Micrologic trip units used on Masterpact NW provide far more than just ultra-fast tripping for short circuits. They accurately measure system parameters, calculate values, store data, record events and communicate. Upgrading to Masterpact NW will form an essential part of your metering and monitoring strategy.

STR control units (except for communication units) are replaced by the corresponding Micrologic control units, according to the specification of the existing STR.

Chassis spare parts replacement warrantyWith the "Plug and Play" retrofit solution we guarantee availability of spare parts for the Masterpact M chassis (plug-in clamps, shutter, spring or wire guide support and auxiliary contacts) for the period of commercialisation.

Options The "Plug and Play" retrofit solution is capable of matching the requirements of your existing installation and your future needs. Example options include:

> remote control and inter-tripping

> mechanical interlocking (includes ATS systems)

> protection upgrades

> power monitoring

> communication.

Some options must be specified at time of order. Please consult Schneider Electric for more information.

* Typical time for simple installations. This applies to a basic circuit breaker with no accessories fitted. Neutral busbar CT’s require busbar isolation. Actual times vary according to the equipment specification.

"Plug and Play" retrofitThe retrofit solution utilises a factory modified and adapted Masterpact NW, which is installed in Masterpact M’s original chassis.

Merchant MarineThe "Plug and Play" is compliant with Merchant Marine standards. The breaking capacity test and the steady-state sinusoidal vibration tests, in accordance with IACS rules and standard IEC 60068.2.6, have been sucessfully performed on a circuit breaker NW32H1 - 3 poles draw out version mounted in a chassis of Masterpact M32. The technical documents that show the results of the tests are available.

More environmentally friendly> Masterpact NW units use non-polluting and

recyclable materials, and are manufactured in ISO14001 certified factories.

> The environmental impact is minimised through eco-design.

Standards> The "Plug and Play" retrofit solutions maintain

all Masterpact NW circuit breaker approvals.

> All specific parts are certified in compliance with the following standards:

○ IEC 60947 - 1

○ IEC 60947 - 2

> Conforms to Merchant Marine Standard.

High performance of the Masterpact NWThe monitoring and diagnostic functions (Micrologic control unit) of the Masterpact NW circuit breaker enables you to optimise the maintenance of your equipment.

The electrical performance characteristics of the Masterpact NW offer equal or greater performance than Masterpact M (selectivity remains unchanged) in the event of a network fault.
