Two girls wake up on grass/ field near some beer bottles –assume they’d got too drunk

Confused and go home “Mum’ll be worried”

They wake up –see a girl they don’t recognise in their photo collage in their room

They go to school and notice there appears to be someone missing –don’t recognise her/an empty chair in class

Their friends say she’s called _____ and is their best friend/ No one has seen her over the weekend

Later see her on their Facebook cover photo that night

*Girls get small flashback*

They decide to retrace their steps; weird supernatural signs appear to them/ affect their decisions

Eventually leads them to a house –there are beer bottles outside

As they start to enter the house, they get more frequent flashbacks *slowly reveals that they were there before –had gone because it was abandoned; they found and did a Ouija board in a room*

They know where to go, have a déjà vu feeling, and find their friend _____ restrained and acting odd

The cult enter (still appearing antagonistic/ mysterious to the audience) and approach them slowly –girls cry out to leave them alone

The cult grab them –creates *flashback that they had entered and restrained them before*

Girls are confused, cult realise they don’t remember

One touches their forehead [supernatural element] which creates a *Big flashback –they had to be the ones to stab their friend to get the spirit out of her which had entered after they used the Ouija , they couldn’t do it last time/ didn’t believe the cult and ran to get help* [audience realises this is where the film started ~non-linear structure]

Cult tells them it is the only way, because they had linked hands, and explains that the spirit is linked to the house, and broke its link to the girls when they left, which wiped their memories of the host body to make them forget.

Cult prepares for a ritual to put the spirit into a box after expelling it from their friend’s body.

The girls have to stab her while the spirit has been trying to manipulate them during all this by using their friend’s voice to convince them to do otherwise. They stab her anyway –enters the box and cult slowly dissaparate [supernatural element]

Girls eventually get up and leave –while helping Katie –when they leave the house their memories are fully restored

Lights turn on inside house in the room where the girls had initially (shot from outside)

Next shot is inside the house, taking the audience through the house back to the room

Last shot is of the Ouija board pieces moving
