PLOTAt the beginning of the film Chris Gardner

is broke, he doesn’t even have money to pay his son’s kindergarten. He decides to invest on a “Bone density scanner”, however, this business, doesn’t give him the money he expects.

After loosing two scanners, he decides to become a stockbroker. He has to get some training for 6 months and he realizes that he’s not going to get paid. Despite the fact that he’s not going to get any money, he starts the training so that he can finally make ends meet...

ARE PERSONAL VALUES IMPORTANT?

• Chris makes an impressive effort to give his son a better life. Although he and his son are hard up for a period of time, Chris thinks that it’s definitely worth the suffering. He makes big sacrifices such as: studying at night instead of sleeping, living in a hostel… because in the end he knows that it’s going to be the best thing for his son. All in all, he does all these things to give a better future to his son and to retrieve his wife.

• In the end, Chris achieves his goals due to the fact that he has done all these things to protect his son. He has been very generous because not only has he thought of himself but about his son’s future life.

CONCLUSION• To sum up, from our

point of view, having personal values, is vital.

• Personal values help you get and stay motivated. They provide you a method for living your life to it’s fullest and finding your purpose in life. That’s what we can see in this film.
