What we doEvery year, British Wireless provides free, adapted audio equipment to thousands of visually impaired people across the UK who would not otherwise be able to afford it.

Our radios are a lifeline to those who are blind and partially sighted, becoming a companion which keeps them in touch with the outside world and eases the isolation sight loss can bring.

We have a range of modified equipment which meets the differing needs of our visually impaired listeners.

To be eligible to receive a set on free loan, you need to be:

• a UK resident who is registered blind or partially sighted

• in receipt of a means-tested benefit

• over the age of eight

To discuss your eligibility and which radio would suit you, either contact us directly or search for your local agent on our website. All contact details are overleaf.

Leaving a gift in your willAt BWBF we understand ensuring your loves ones are taken care of must come first. If after this you are able to leave us a gift in your will, no matter the size, you will enable us to provide future generations with hours of enjoyment.

There are more than two million people living with sight loss in the UK and it is expected this number will double by 2050.

Leaving us a legacy is a special way to help us ensure we are here to support people with sight loss, when they need us, for years to come.

Types of gifts to consider:

• A share of your estate (residuary bequest)

• A cash gift (pecuniary bequest)

• A specific item

Gifts to charities in your will are tax free. If the value of your estate exceeds the tax threshold it could reduce the amount of inheritance tax you pay.

We understand your will is very personal to you. However if you have pledged to support us we would very much like to know so we can thank you for your decision in your lifetime.

If you would rather not advise us of your decision, we hope you know how grateful we are for your gift and on behalf of everyone who will benefit from your generosity, please accept our heartfelt thanks.
