• Late submission will be accepted for Tests, Quizzes, and Virtual lab assignments. You have one week to submit late Tests, Quizzes, and Virtual lab assignments.

• After one week, make-up work or late assignments are not permitted. Technical difficulties or

other issues cannot be solved on the day or evening before an assignment is due. Do not wait until just before the deadline to attempt an assignment, because there are occasional technical problems that happen, and the Norton help center, or I CANNOT help you at the last moment.

• I do not answer emails on the weekends. I have personal issues that do not allow me to work

on the weekends.

• Tests and Quizzes are accessed through the Canvas website. Test and Quizzes will be taken during lecture hours (6:40-930PM). Test and Quizzes open at 6:30 PM on Monday Oct. 9th (Test #1, Quiz #1) and Monday Dec. 7th (Test #2, Quiz #2), and close on the same days at 9:30 PM.

• Virtual lab assignments will be completed in class during lecture hours (6:40-930PM). I will be

available through Zoom/WebEx to help with the directions and answer any questions you may have. You can work in groups to complete these assignments. Virtual lab assignments will take 30 minutes to 1.5 hours to compete.

• Smartwork reading quizzes will be completed either as homework or in the classroom during

lecture hours (6:40-930PM). These reading quizzes are accessed through the WW Norton Smartwork website. You are required to purchase access to this website. $65.00 is the cost for the E-book, Smartwork, and other learning tools at the publisher’s website WW Norton. https://digital.wwnorton.com/earth6 is the link to get to the purchase options. Smartwork reading quizzes allow you two attempts to get each question correct. If you get a message from Smartwork telling you that you have "unanswered" or “unsubmitted” questions and you are certain you submitted properly, then it means you have one or more questions incorrect, so try again. The time limit for the reading quizzes id 30-45 minutes.
