CANDIDATE: Lydon Scheeff

I have been honored to serve you as a board member in the past and would love to continue serving thiscommunity in the future. Clear Creek Communications is rapidly changing with the new technology available to us. We are proud to provide you and your family broadband high definition, video on demand, enhanced cable television, and ClearView Security/Home Automation. As your board member, I will continue to research and vote for the newest technology while holding the company fiscally responsible.

For news and information, virtual reality is the future. Given this, we plan on continuing the fastest internet speed possible toour customers.

I have a vested interest in Clear Creek Communications to continue to compete in this competitive marketplace because I ama life-long resident of Redland. I have owned and operated a potato growing and packing business for over forty years. I amnow semi-retired. I serve on a local advisory committee that provides management for streams and water quality. I have earnedsix 'Excellence in Leadership' awards from the National Telephone Cooperative Association (NTCA) for completed courses intelecommunication education. I ask for your continued support to serve you on this board.

CANDIDATE: Jim G. Elliott

I would like to return to “serve” on the Board of Directors, of CCC. My adult life has been built aroundsome form of “service”, which includes the US Navy, member/Board Chairman of local school board,member/Board Chairman of local church, and member/Board Chairman of CCC.

Education: Graduate of local High School, Graduate of Multnomah Jr. College and Graduate of OregonState University with Degree in Electrical Engineering. Employment: 5 years with Pacific Power & Light; Area Engineer and 27 years, with Cooper Power Systems as Sr. Apparatus Engineer.

As a Board member of CCC, I have really became aware of how “service”, best describes what really matters. Some other company may always be able to beat our price of a particular service, but no one will beat our “quality of service”. As yourrepresentative on the board, I work with the other board members and CCC Management on planning and executing the operationof your company. The other board members all come from different back grounds, offering a wide variety of expertise. When wediscuss how we can best “serve” the needs of you and other members, this diversity of background, sometimes leads us to someexciting and vigorous discussions. We and the members of CCC are very fortunate to have a Management that is the Best! We allagree that we are here for one purpose and that is to bring “service”.

Thank you for your vote.

2016 BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTION: CANDIDATE STATEMENTS

Serving the Redland area since 1906.

CANDIDATE: Ben Asar

In 1994, we relocated to the Redland area, and soon realized that it offered us the quality of life we sought:healthier atmosphere, shorter drive to work, easier access to outdoor activities, opportunities to debate withneighbors over how best to grow vegetables, and even witnessing unusual phenomena such as a neighbor’sgoat taking shelter from pelting rain by positioning itself under the horse, the donkey fulfilling duties of therooster by braying first thing every morning (and waking up the neighborhood in the process) while the

latter engaging in crowing around noon the same day. To top that, we have been lucky to receive Telephone, Cable and Internetservices from one of the oldest, but forward thinking, Cooperatives. Needless to say, we have since called Redland our home.

The topic of community service has surfaced a few times in my family over the years. However, locating a befitting opportunity, orfinding sufficient time for such an endeavor, has not been easy until, recently, when I became aware of such an opportunity at ourown Cooperative.

Along with a bachelor’s in accounting and an MBA in finance, I have experience in business consulting, commercial banking, electric utilities, management consulting, project management, and business ownership. And while I am outspoken and notafraid to challenge status quo, I also believe in utilizing the democratic process to influence decisions, drive actions, and helpaccomplish goals in the interest of improving business and taking care of customers.

Thanks for your consideration.

CANDIDATE: Kurt May

I feel blessed to have returned to this community after 20 years away engaged in two things about which I ampassionate: leading successful businesses and developing leadership talent. Trained as an engineer, I also holdan MBA degree and I’ve utilized those skills successfully over a 40 year career in telecommunications, biotechnology and higher education.

I was fortunate to have been designated early-on in my 23-year career at General Telephone and Electronics Corporation (nowVerizon), for executive development, a rare honor. Subsequently, I was assigned successive leadership positions in: strategy, finance, compliance, operations, engineering, and marketing and sales, both domestically and abroad. I served the last fifteenyears at GTE in general management, concluding my career there as Area President of GTE Wireless.

Following GTE Corporation, I held leadership positions as:

• EVP and COO of international retailer PriceSmart.

• Assistant Dean and lecturer in the MBA program at University of California

• Co-founder and CEO of biotechnology company Psynomics Incorporated

• Director - Master of Science in Executive Leadership program at University of San Diego, and lecturer in the MBA and engineering programs

My family and I chose to come back to this area for the magnificent quality of life and to retire – but not to quit. I am eager tocontribute my leadership skills and to serve you, our members and our community. Together, we can build a future of economicgrowth without sacrificing our quality of life. I thank you for your consideration and vote.

Call Before You Dig. Be Safe. Be Sure.Do you know who to call before digging or excavating on your property?

Oregon law requires that anyone digging in private propertyor any public right of way call the One-Call Center prior todigging. Everyone, contractor and homeowner alike, mustcall two business days prior to digging. The Oregon UtilityNotification Center (OUNC) is the Oregon state agency thatadministers Oregon’s excavation laws and the statewide tollfree “One-Call” number: 1-800-332-2344 (2DIG), or just“811.” The One-Call Center is available 24 hours to processlocate requests.

What happens when you call the toll free number:800-332-2344 or 811? As soon as you make that important phone call, the operatoranswering the phone at the OUNC’s One Call Center will askyou a series of questions designed to pin point the proposedexcavation area. You will be given a reference number and thenames of the Operators, such as Clear Creek Communications, that have buried facilities in the excavation area. The One CallCenter will then notify the affected facility Operators that

have underground facilities within theproposed excavation site. The facilityOperator (or their locating contractor)will locate and accurately mark theirburied facilities with the required color.

When can you safely start digging after you make the call?It is strongly recommended that youwait the full two-business day waitingperiod. This allows all Operators tocomplete their required responsibilities. If you start before that time you may beaccepting liability for damages. A call tothe One-Call Center protects the home-owner/excavator from possibly beingcharged thousands of dollars to repairdamaged facilities.

For more information about OUNC,please visit www.digsafelyoregon.com.
