How EON addressed Aramco Problem and Challenge
The ApplicationEON developed a Virtual Reality Training System (VRTS) that provide an intuitive and realistic Interaction in 3D including:
• Rock Outcrop Simulation• Vertical Seismic Profile Acquisition• Borehole visualizations• Assembly/disassembly Wellhead, Christmas Tree and Gate Valve • Lesson guides• Rig simulation• 3D walkthroughs etc•interface to existing geo science applications
The Application Characteristics:• improve training and retention of drilling procedures• improve safety while reducing the associated costs• visually simulate processes with real-time feedback • scalable 3D environment (laptop, 3D power wall to Immersive 4 wall ICUBE environments)

ExxonMobil's Launched complete turn-key EON Icube research facility in Qatar
• In 2008 EON delivered a full immersive 4 wall Icube with Software and training. • 3D visualization cube which serves as a development platform for state-of-the-art
training of individuals working in Qatar’s oil and gas production and processing facilities and onboard LNG ships.
• The research focuses on adding functionalities that make the 3D immersive environment so realistic that individuals feel like they are at their actual work environment.
• This realism makes the training more effective and better equips personnel to perform their jobs even more safely, quickly and effectively.
• Multi-year Research Project with ExxonMobil for development of three-dimensional virtual reality immersive applications for training of oil, gas, LNG, marine and petrochemical plant personnel.
• In 2009 EON has entered into 2 task orders under this research umbrella agreement and anticipate to start an additional 2-3 projects prior to the end of the year.
