Pretty sure this a couple and their child (father (?) is A, mother (?) is B and daughter (?) is C). They didn’t sound really irritated with each other through this, more like a repeated routine that they’re all used to. A Did you know that this was on inside out? B No I didn’t notice anything //was on C What was on //inside out B Inside out. C What was on inside out? B What’s funny is that you were—you are the person to notice that out of everyone in this room. That’s //pretty funny C Wait what are you talking about? Silence What—what are you talking about? More silence C (plaintive) What’s on inside out?

BNo I didn’t notice anything //was on

CWhat was on //inside out

BInside out.

CWhat was on inside out?

BWhat’s funny is that you were—you are the person to notice that out of everyone in this room. That’s //pretty funny

CWait what are you talking about? SilenceWhat—what are you talking about?More silence

C(plaintive)

What’s on inside out?Even more silence. Starting feel a bit bad for this girl.Or not, okay.B laughs. C laughs, a bit awkwardly.

BDid you not see it?

BReally?

CI don’t know what you’re talking about.

B(a bit annoyed)

My sweater. //The one you just walked past.

C(getting progressively higher-pitched)

Oh your sweater was—I thought you were talking about the //movie—

BI knew, I knew that you didn’t care. I knew I was like, why would I even need to tell her? She doesn’t care. //And I was right.

CNo, I didn’t—I thought you were talking about the movie.

BI knew what I was—not answering for a reason.

C(trailing off)

Oh, I’m sorry, //I’m sorry…

BWhy am I wasting my—hey, why are all the, why are all the salts gone?
