Jobs• Manager: oversees all other group members - needs

to work with other members and delegate tasks• Architect: responsible for all sketches, scale

drawings and models.• Engineer: responsible for understanding the science

behind each piece of equipment. Advocate for accessibility and safety.

• Materials Coordinator: responsible for identifying materials that can be used to build scale models of playground equipment and obtaining or delegating the procurement of those materials.

Task 1: Name and Logo

• Come up with a name for your team. All members should be involved.

• Use font style, color and images to create a logo for your team. (this can be delegated)

• Team logo should be 1st slide in PPT.

• Due: 10/14/10• Bonus for on time delivery: $100• Penalty for delay in delivery: $150 per week.

Task 2: Quick Research• Teams will choose one article from the eboard to

read and reflect on. All team members must have input of at least one idea, fact or comment based on the article.

• Slide 2 should contain a brief (3 - 4 sentences) summary of the article and the comments from team members. (may be in list form or be its own paragraph) Slide 2 may be delegated.

• Due: 10/21/10• Bonus for early delivery: $250• Penalty for late deliver: $250 per week

Task 3: The Best Playground Ever!

• Each team member should have one piece of equipment that they see as a “must have” and should be able to defend this to their team.

• Each team member adds one slide with their drawing (I will scan with you) and a description of what the equipment is and why it should be included.

• Due 10/28/10• Bonus for Early delivery: $250 per week• Penalty for late delivery: $150 per week

Task 4: Basic Playground• Create a basic playground containing a slide, swing

set, basketball hoop, slide, and ground cover of your choice.

• Teams will place all equipment on graph paper using scale drawings.

• Teams will create a budget for their basic playground.
