Salt Dough

This can be treated as normal playdough or special models can be baked in a cool oven for 2-3 hours before painting.

3 cups of self-raising flour

3 cups of salt

Add enough water to the flour and salt mixture to make a stiff, non-sticky dough. Parts of a model can be stuck together by painting with water.

Water for mixing

Quick Dough

This is ideal for young children as it feels lovely to squeeze, press and roll. Very easy to make but does not keep.

3 cups of self-raising flour

Simply mix the water into the flour a little at a time until stretchy, spongy dough is achieved. Even small children will enjoy doing this themselves.

Water - as much as is needed

Glitter Dough

This will make a glossy, glitter dough that will keep for about a month in the fridge. It makes a great change from normal playdough and is wonderful for futuristic modelling. You can change the colour combinations too.
