Nick Altman (Malcolm) is most commonly referred to as the walking talking musical due to his tendency to spontaneously quote musical theatre as often as possible. He has previously defied gravity as a suppressed homosexual thief in Cinderella, a creepy teenage stalker in Anatomy of Gray, and his trademark role as piano-wielding Georgie Gershwin from Thoroughly Modern Millie.

P: What is your character like?NA: I play the character of Malcolm, like Malcolm in the Middle HA. He is the son of King Duncan and heir to the throne. Malcolm literally has six lines so he’s not that important. He loves his father dearly.

P: How have you prepared for this role?NA: I thoroughly analyzed the six lines Malcolm says and drew out a plethora of character distinctions that allowed me to fully embody the gorgeous character.

P: Have your previous acting experiences helped you with this production at all?NA: My character experiences as a suppressed homosexual thief in Rodgers’ and Hammerstein’s Cinderella gave me the courage to make bold acting choices as an ensemble member.

P: How does this character impact Macbeth’s story?NA: WEEEEELLLLLLL, he is the son of the king and plays an important role later in the play when Macbeth usurps his throne and he attempts to reclaim it.

P: What is your favorite canned vegetable?NA: Obviously, Megan O’Reilly. Yes, she is a real person, ALYSSA PRESTO.
