Account StructurePlatinumBondholderswilltransfertheirmoniesdirectlyintotheirpersonalandsegregatedCapitalTreasuryServicesLimitedAccount,withinaring-fencedcustodyaccount.Fromthere,themonieswillbetransferredtotheissuinginstitutions,againplacedintopersonalandsegregatedaccountsbeforemoniesarepaidacrossintothePlatinumBonds.Thisprocessoffersafullaudittrail.
Investor ProtectionNeitherCapitalTreasuryServicesorothercompanieswithintheCapitalInternationalGrouparebanksanddonotofferbankingservices,sounlikeabankaccountinvestorsarenotlendingmoneytousortheCapitalInternationalGroupofCompaniesandasaresulttheirmoneyisnotexposedtoCapitalTreasuryServices’oranyothercompanywithintheCapitalInternationalGroup’sbalancesheetsorunderlyingbusinessinanyway.Consequently,clientmoniesarefullyprotectedatalltimesastheyareheldinsegregatedclientbankaccountswithinaring-fencednomineecustodyaccount.
Noinvestmentsortransactionsaremadeonyouraccount(otherthantransfersinstructedbyyouandinterestpaidbyCapitalTreasuryServicesortheCapitalInternationalGroupofCompanies)andhenceanyinvestmentsmadeonbehalfofyourCapitalTreasuryServicesAccountarenotsubjecttoanyspecificinvestment,marketortransactionalrisk.Asaresult,moniesinvestedintoaCapitalTreasuryServicesAccountenjoyahighlevelofsecurity.
Credit ExposureInordertogeneratethehighyieldspayabletoPlatinumBondholders,themoniesaremanagedbyourTreasuryManagementTeamutilisingadiversifiedlistofauthorisedbanks,financialinstitutionsandbuildingsocietiesratedA-toAAAinaccordancewithStandard&Poor’sratingagency.
