Plant Growth Substrate is a clay and sphagnum concentrate which is used with gravel when setting up an aquarium. Use a 1 cm thick layer of Substrate which should be laid on the bottom of the aquarium. Then a minimum layer of 3-4 cm of gravel should be laid on top of the substrate. The gravel acts as a physical barrier between the concentrated Substrate and the water. If plants are removed from the aquarium, cut the plants at the plant/root transition to minimize disturbing dirt from the plant substrate.

The table shows the cylinder’s lifetime (days) with the required bubbles per minute to achieve the recommended CO2 concen-tration (mg/L) in a 30L aquarium. For other sizes of aquariums, please look at tropica.com

User guide Mount the regulator on the CO2 cartridge and ensure that the regulator is fully off Fill the diffuser-chamber with water Place the cartridge in the rack and mount the hose to the regulator and the diffuser Mount the diffuser with the suction cups at the inner side of the tank near the bottom and place the hose in the back corner Open the regulator carefully and count the number of bubbles per minute in the diffuser-chamber. Wait 5 minutes, adjust and repeat until the number of bubbles per minute is similar to the recommendation in the table

Most aquarium plants do not thrive without CO2 fertilization – but algae does! So without extra CO2, your new plants can suffer and algae will take over your tank.A Plant Growth System 60 is:• A simple and inexpensive way to supply extra CO2 to the plants

User guide Fill the chamber with water from the tank and install it in the corner next to the fi lter. Make sure the vent is closed with the small silicone stopper. Mount the hose on the CO2 cylinder and the chamber. Fill the chamber according to the table.

Fill the chamber at the beginning of each light period. The table shows recommended daily dose (ml) in aquariums of different sizes. The chamber should be vented once a week by removing the silicone stopper. 1 CO2 cylinder contains approximately 5000 ml and will last for 1 month in a 60 L tank (see the table).

Specialised Fertiliser is a waterplant fertilizer for the plant specialist.

The fertilizer is developed to be able to provide the aquarist who has

many plants and few fish with the opportunity to promote the growth

of healthy and luxuriant plants. Contains nitrate, ammonium, phosphate

and other nutrients required to ensure healthy plant growth. It is

recommended that 25 % of the water is changed every week.

Premium Fertiliser benefits all aquaria with both fish and plants,

as Premium Fertiliser provides the nutrients plants easily run

out of and which plants ideally absorb via the leaves.

Premium Fertiliser contains iron and all other important

trace elements required to ensure healthy plant growth in an

aquarium. It is recommended that minimum 25 % of the water

is changed every second week.
