Plants need SEVEN things!

1. Room to GROW!

2. The right temperature

3. Light

4. Water

5. Air

6. Nutrients

7. Time

Room to GROW!

Plants need room to grow so that their leaves can EXPAND! If their roots are crowded then they will have smaller amounts of growth!

Temperature

Most plants are comfortable in the same temperatures that humans are but not all!

Sunlight!ALL Plants

need sunlight to grow! Many times plants

will even lean toward a window

with sunlight.

WATER!Without water

or with too much water, a plant dies. For

this reason watering is

very important! Water is a

plants food!

Oxygen!

Oxygen, Also known as air is what plants provide for us! Polluting the air with smokes and gases can ruin plants!

Nutrients!

Nutrients that plants need are taken up by the ROOT of the plant! Fertilizers also known as dirt will help to keep the soil supplied with nutrients a plant needs.

TIME!

It takes time to grow and care for plants. Plants that usually grow outdoors need a certain number of days to flower or fruit. Some plants can also only be grown at certain times of the year.

Their NEEDS!

Without EACH of these things plants CANNOT grow! And without plants we cannot live so lets make sure we take care of the Earth!
