Size these holes for a loose fit with the nail.Make blocks just a little wider than the thickness of your stock for the sprockets.

The seat mounts are glued to the side aprons after the frame of the chair is assembled.Screws are screwed in from bottom to hold the seat.
Measure from your assembled chair to get exact dimensions of both rabbets.

Angle iron brackets made from bed frame angle iron.
Mine are old VW beetle wiper motors, but these can no longer be obtained. Most wiper motors would not mount as elegantly.
