Explain how your planned activities will contribute to your development in the following areas.

Creativity (the arts and other experiences that involve creative thinking)

Since I left the summer school at Parsons University in NYC I remained clueless of all the amazing things that Photoshop and Illustrator are able to create. Therefore I am continuing to develop my skills using this programs which contribute to Creativity because as a graphic designer you design your own logos, publicity and many other things.

Action (Physical exertion contributing to a healthy lifestyle)After 9 long months at the gym and already have gained about 20-5kg I am ready to get ripped (define muscles). After installing dip and pull-up bars in my backyard I’m starting a 12week calisthenics program which is going to help me get where I want to be in terms of keeping a healthy lifestyle. By this I mean going from a 21% fat percentage to about 10-12% percent which is average for an athlete, having strong muscles and increase stamina.

Service (an unpaid and voluntary exchange that has a learning benefit)

Walking dogs will contribute to my service hours, some people in my neighborhood have dogs in a very small place which can cause the dogs to escape many times, I will voluntary ask my neighbors to walk their dogs in order for them to feel free without having to escape and the owners getting worried about if they are lost. Separate from that I will be the leader for the project group in my CSP class (environmental care). This means I will directing many of the projects that be will be creating and help as much as possible to the environment and places that don’t have green spaces.

Will any of the activities be new for you (one you have not done before)? If so, explain what challenges you might face.

Yes, calisthenics is a new activity I will begin. The challenges that I might face are to keep up with the program as training with your own bodyweight can sometimes be really hard and really energy consuming, which means your muscles get tired faster and you need good stamina to keep up.

Do you foresee yourself being in a leadership role in any of the activities? If so, explain in what way. As most of the activities, (calisthenics, graphic design and dog walks) are done by myself the only activity left which requires a lot of leadership is going to be CSP. First of all I will need to help all the people in my group so they know what they are doing and if they have any questions I will be

there to help. I will be in charge of recording everything my group does and lead the projects that my group will be creating through the course of Q1.

Identify any areas of strength or areas for growth, in relation to the activities listed.

Strengths Areas for Growth

Good LeaderCreativity (graphic design)

OrganizedWorking with little kids (always an area of growth)

ConfidentDiscipline to all the activities

What new skills do you plan to acquire while undertaking each activity?

New Skills or Increased Expertise

I want to achieve full control of my own bodyweight after calisthenics, by this I mean being able to do handstand-pushups and the Human flag which require massive body strength. Furthermore I would like to acquire an expertise knowledge using illustrator because the career I want to study in the university requires the use of all these programs (industrial designer).

Will you be involved in initiating or planning any aspect of these activities? If yes, explain in what way.

Yes for example with graphic design I will have a personal project that is going to take about 1 month to complete, each month I will be doing different projects with the level of detail and quality increasing which each project as I learn with time. Separate from that in my Environmental CSP class I will be the leader of the projects and have to set a task for each student as well as completing plans for each class.

Will you be working in collaboration with others? If yes, please explain.Yes, in CSP classes mostly. As CSP is a class with students from y7-13 my group has kids from all different ages this means I will have to work with them in the project group developing ideas for promoting our cause and

working as a team to produce amazing environmental friendly projects such as vertical gardens, composts, and germinators (small green houses)

During this activity will you encounter any issues of global importance? Please Explain.

Yes, Calisthenics I will be encountering the issue of keeping a healthy lifestyle and a good cardiovascular health. In dog walks I will encounter the issue of homeless dogs and the cause of that, which is sometimes dogs escaping because they are isolated, with dog walks I will try and reduce the feeling for the dogs to escape giving them the opportunity to go around free but supervised. In CSP I will encounter the issue of environmental destruction which is one of the recent problems in Ecuador will all the fires. CSP environmental care is a group that takes care of the environment and promotes people to do as well, our projects such as the germinator help places that one had plants, be as it used to be, we grow plants and take them to places where there are no green areas or there was but were destroyed by fires or any other causes.
