Media Pack and audience

The Media pack I will pursue is a magazine based for people who like any music in the charts, UK Top 40 or the Albums chart. It will be a general music magazine covering the most popular artists in terms of statue.

My Target audience is teenagers and young adults as they tend to be most interested in different and current music etc. People at this age have more social time so take more interest in music and celebrities. The people I am aiming for are passionate about music, enjoy different genres, take pleasure from listening to things I and enjoy learning about people.

The language in this article is fairly formal, it effectively is a review of the concert that Jack White did. The style of writing is very conversational. Including various quotes from an interview with Jack White. The type of words and quality is very reflective of their target audience, it contains language generally used as well as some jargon such as “artist” “group” and “performance”. However some of it’s terminology is advanced such as the word “adornment” however this does suit the older generations of their readers as the terminology is broad. Overall the language of this article from NME is suiting to it’s target audience. Including a variety of terms that are easy to understand for different generations of their target audience.
