Today is the initial step in identifying proposed land use map revisions to study for the Countywide Plan.
Community input will be invited as studies proceed with land use modeling (e.g., growth projections, economics, environmental concerns, infrastructure, etc.).
A joint meeting of the BOS and PC will be held early in 2017 to identify a Preferred Land Use Alternative for environmental analysis, with public comments on the working maps.
Public will have many opportunities for involvement and comment throughout the environmental review and hearing process for the Countywide Plan (2017/2018).
The final Land Use Map will be adopted as part of the Countywide Plan in 2018.
