Planned tube strikes: 8 - 9 July 2015
Important Travel Information
Dear customer,
There is currently a planned tube strike due to take place from late afternoon on
Wednesday 8th July and all day on Thursday 9th July. If the strike goes ahead there will be no tube service on any line. All other public transport services and roads will
be much busier than usual, so please check before you travel at www.tfl.gov.uk.
If you are travelling to the Mrs Brown’s Boys shows on Wednesday 8th July or
Thursday 9th July we strongly recommend that you plan your travel in advance using the following guide:
By River
Thames Clippers will be operating additional river bus services to and from The O2
via North Greenwich pier. Pre-event, boats leave every 20 minutes from central
London piers to The O2. Boats will begin departing North Greenwich pier 15 minutes
after the event has finished. The journey time to Waterloo is approximately 45 minutes with food and drink available to purchase on board. Seats must be booked
in advance to ensure availability.

By Car
The arena car park is located within a short walk of the main entrance of
The O2. We strongly recommend you pre-book so we can manage demand and avoid disappointment. Pre-booked parking is £25. Please note that parking is £30 for
non pre-booked customers.

end of this guide. Please note there is no on-street parking on the Greenwich Peninsula. Please use Car Park 1 unless directed otherwise.
By car: FREE drop off / pick up
If you are being dropped off by car, please use our free general public drop off area
within Car Park 1, as shown on the map below.
By Taxi and Private Hire
North Greenwich station has a dedicated black taxi rank and there is separate
private hire pickup and drop off area next to Car Park 3. Taxi marshals will be present at both taxi areas after the event to provide assistance if required. Minicabs
can be pre-booked using:

By Emirates Air Line (cable car)
The Emirates Air Line connects the Greenwich Peninsula to Royal Docks and
Royal Victoria DLR station. On 8th and 9th July it will be operating an extended
service after the show finishes, enabling customers to connect with DLR services (towards central London, Stratford and Beckton) post event. London Underground
tickets will be accepted for single and return journeys during the strike.
By Local Bus
London buses will be operating enhanced services throughout the strike. There are
8 local bus routes including three 24 hour services that serve North Greenwich bus station. These services are summarised below.
• Route 108 (24hr) to Stratford or Lewisham
• Route 188 (24hr) to Russell Square via Greenwich and Waterloo
• Route 472 (24hr) to Thamesmead via Charlton and Woolwich
• Route 129 to Greenwich
• Route 161 to Chislehurst
• Routes 132, 422 and 486 towards Bexleyheath
