I am using the sidereal zodiac positions of the planets in the signs for this report. I am presenting a picture based on the movements of the outer planets in the sky as they reflect and influence the collective life on Earth below through the year 2016. At the end I will present how each sign (your astrology sign, or Sun/Moon/rising sign) can best handle and navigate this year. Remember that these are Vedic/sidereal astrological positions, but will apply to both Western and Vedic astrology signs. CB

Pluto in Sagittarius Through 2016 and beyond

With Pluto slowly moving through Sagittarius for the next couple of years it is the ideologies that have the greatest force in the world will be moving their heavy hands through our affairs. God and spirituality may be eclipsed by issues of money, power, and control as the chief motives for change. Truth may be replaced by expediency.

Society is in the midst of seeing things differently now because of Pluto's moving through Sagittarius. Perceptions and beliefs are in the midst of transformation on a collective scale; but higher thought has to compete also with baser issues like materialism, worldly acclaim, and lower manifestations of sexuality.

Neptune in Pisces Through 2016 and beyond

Then with Neptune slowly moving through Pisces this year (and for the next few years) there is a planetary uplift movement. Spirituality is less and less defined by the names of religions, their traditions, or historical figures, but now faith is in the invisible unknown, an impulse of the heart, or knowledge spontaneously received. There are more perceived similarities between people and ideas than there are differences, and the prior life goals of health, wealth, and status are proving to be meaningless in the end.

The ego becomes less and less substantial, and caring for one another becomes the need of the hour, as the normal societal support systems seem to be dissolving away. There can be great hope in the midst of situations that would otherwise be despairing.

Uranus in Pisces Through May 2016

Uranus will be in the sign of Pisces through May 2016 creating eccentricity and new pathways for our emotional responses to life and others. Sudden intuitions and leaps of consciousness will be able to profoundly affect our states of being and conceptions of ourselves. We may find that being one man or woman we may find to be just too limiting an idea because we are part of a universal evolutionary wave attaining higher consciousness.

Uranus in Aries 2016 and beyond

With Uranus then spending a few years in Aries (starting in June 2016), there is also a great impulse towards collective leaps of development. The idea of the self in the context of society

will be rapidly changing. Information is now literally at our fingertips at any time through our little devices we carry everywhere.

More knowledge brings more potential to effect change. To those who understand the potentials a new sense of selfhood and one’s capabilities will be discovered. Click a button on your phone and a couple seconds later the whole world knows about it!

Saturn in Scorpio Through 2016

With Saturn now moving from sidereal Scorpio to Sagittarius, the highs and lows of emotional experiences are brought out. Showing to us the folly of some of our thoughts and ways of doing things, and then helping us to become very competent in the things that we focus intensely on this year. Making deep change demands determination and perseverance of us, and that certain wherewithal that makes us see things through to the end.

During this time, and peaking at various points in late 2015 and through 2016, Saturn will also be making exact square to transiting Neptune. As the severe negatives of each planetary energy clashes with each other over the year, probably producing a lot of self‐doubts and disappointments personally and interpersonally, as well as a lot of harsh reactionary measures of self and society.

Conscientious individual may have to contend with people and situations with layers of intrigue and deceit to them. This is definitely one of the stickiest of astrological configurations to deal with.

Transformational experiences may be effected through the work environment and through diligently paying off our karmic debts to family, friends, and our associates. Saturn then moving into sidereal Sagittarius around January 2017 we start to get more serious about our religious, spiritual, and philosophical underpinnings. To talk the talk is one thing, but to walk the walk is another. Corruption may boil to the surface in the ideological, spiritual, or ethical sectors of society; only to be skimmed off the top so we are more in integrity inside as much as we may appear on the outside.

Nodes in Virgo/Pisces Through March 2016

As the Nodes are retrograding through Virgo/Pisces and then moving into Leo/Aquarius in March 2016 we are closing out our initiatives to be sensitive to the needs of others, feeling their feelings and enacting the best practical and holistic solutions for people and situations. Chronic and addictive issues may be the focus of activity, their healing and resolution. Intellectual pursuits will be important in the uplift of society.

Nodes in Leo/Aquarius Through 2016

With the Nodes moving into Leo/Aquarius in March 2016 the focus now becomes being happy with ourselves and how we can work together with our friends, associates and humanity en

masse to benefit all equally. Opportunity becomes important, a level playing field with no privileged classes or people. Craving after power and control may be an issue to be dealt with.

Jupiter in Leo Through August 2016

Then as Jupiter moves from sidereal Leo to Virgo in August 2016, our egos which may have enjoyed some great liberties during Jupiter’s stay in Leo may now find the confounding and shrinking of our heretofore personal and spiritual pomposities. There may be a few humbling experiences in the most vocal of us, as the Virgoan details trip up our smug swaggering ways.

Jupiter and the Node in Virgo August 2016 to August 2017

Jupiter will be moving into the same sign as the North Node at this time, causing some profound activation of Virgo’s healing prerogatives, as well as it’s mentally discriminative and analytical tendencies. Jupiter, of course is debilitated in Virgo, so it may a little bumpy road on the way to recovery and understanding. Scholarly works and investigative activities may have to contend with tendencies for bias and fudging the facts.

The actual conjunction of Jupiter and the North Node which will be lasting all through the first half of 2016 will be very beneficial in bringing situations about and people together of ardent spiritual, intellectual and creative opportunities. Many great relationships, partnerships and marriages may be coming about. However we must be wary of letting too much enthusiasm making us promise too much, which can never possibly be fulfilled; i.e. it's not a six‐month "flash in the pan" situation.

A More Linear Look through August 2015 to December 2016 (Peak Periods)

August 2015

The square of Jupiter to Saturn in the early part of August 2015 may cause setbacks to our plans which have become too impractical or otherwise unviable anyway.

October 2015

The trine of Venus, Mars and Jupiter to Pluto in mid‐October 2015 may cause a great excitement in our lives and especially our relationships. Social occasion and cultural events are highly favored.

November 2015

The conjunction of Mars and the North Node in early November 2015 may bring about very hot and potentially violent situations and meetings between people. The urge may be to strongly move forward regardless of the obstacles, which may create trouble.

We will also have to deal with the deeply entrenched deceits of self and society, in the first state as Saturn and Neptune make their first square to each other in late November (peaking on Thanksgiving Day 2015.) It may seem like a tough month, and it will, but a process is now

ongoing whereby you are becoming more true to yourself in thought, word, and deed. You may be seeing painfully now, how you could have done better in the past, and now you are determined to do it right from now on.

December 2015

In early December 2015 the t‐square of Mar opposing Uranus and both squaring Pluto may be intense and difficult indeed, be careful of finding yourself in danger zones physically, emotionally, mentally or otherwise. However, caution and a deliberately calm demeanor may help you to get through particular sticky situations and be all the better for your efforts.

April 2016

In April of 2016 the t‐square of the Mars‐Saturn conjunction (with Mars stationary retrograde) squaring the opposition of Jupiter and Neptune may bring harsh realizations regarding truth, understanding, and ideals with deep regrets and other dark emotions brought to the surface, any of which may be coincided with physical equivalents of events in society, politics and economics for large groups of people.

May 2016

The grand trine of the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, the Nodes and Pluto of early May 2016 looks to be especially wonderful for creating happiness and good fortune. The effects may be subtle but don't miss out on opening yourself up to more joy and good cheer in your life which you can then permanently incorporate into your world.

June 2016

At this time Saturn and Neptune re‐perfect their square to each other. Emotions may become severely reactive, harsh or critical to oneself or others. The tendency to act in the most repressive, dishonorable, or cruel ways to cover up or compensate for past failures or indiscretions is accentuated on a personal or macro level. You need to keep focused on your goals and press on through, no matter what.

August 2016

There will be a loose t‐square between Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune through much of 2016, creating a background effect described two paragraphs above. But in late August 2016 things become tighter with Mars moving into conjunction with Saturn, which may bring out difficult situations and developments between people in various situations, but which will do much to clear out a lot of bad blood (or bad karma, if you will) in a lot of people's lives, opening the way to fresher beginnings free from previous hindrances, prejudices, and animosities.

Saturn and Neptune make the last of their squares to each other this month. So hopefully after a tough year of trials, tribulations, and self‐doubts, you are now making superb progress, having gone through your own "baptism of fire."

October 2016

In late October 2016 a formidable conjunction of Mars and Pluto will make wide square to Uranus. Be careful of accidents, injuries, or worse; things may go awry accompanied by not a little emotional upset. Just keep your cool and stay focused and you may find yourself in a far better position than those who just react to things.

The balance of 2016 is relatively quiet compared to the months highlighted above. This report covers only the peak highlights.

Practical Advice for Each Sign in 2015‐16

Aries

You like to charge forward, not putting up well with delays. However, a little patience is going to get you way past where other Aries individuals will many times find themselves: in a sticky wicket. You have the power to connect people to their roots, their family, their town, city, or nation; and you can be very inviting, warm, and protective to others when are seemingly lost in the turbulence of the times.

Leo

Sorry, it’s always all about you, you are great indeed like everyone else, but you truly shine when you help bring out the greatness of people all around you. You can be a Sun of strength, honor and truth to your family, community and nation.
