The internet can be a fun, cool, and interesting thing to use but also , a very dangerous thing to use.

On the internet , people might say or do things wrong, and that is a very good example of improper use of the internet.

To make sure you are using the internet right and not taking advantage of this use of technology, there are three things you will need to use and they are . . . . . . . .

• Plagiarism has always been a big concern for educators at

most. This is because teachers want students’ work to show

their own efforts and work.

• Plagiarism is the act of stealing and passing off (the ideas or

words of another) as your own.

• When you are writing a report , for example and you research

some information. If you copy or even paraphrase its

plagiarism.

• Paraphrasing to you might seem

different from plagiarism but its as

good as taking the whole manuscript

out of the computer.

How To Avoid Plagiarism

Copyright laws state that it is illegal to

reproduce , sell , or publish the someone else’s ideas, work , or

info without permission .

When you create or make something new it automatically gets copyrighted.

Copyrighting is the best way to protect your work legally. Even though it doesn’t keep someone from stealing your work it shows that you are the owner.

So if you see a sign that looks like this stay away from it , unless you want to be my cell buddy.

Get permission before using someone’s work.
