ESTD : 1918
MSNM Besant Ins�tute of PG Management Studies is a premier management ins�tute of Mangalore. It was
established in 1999 and was the first ins�tute to offer MBA programme under affilia�on to Mangalore
University. We are also approved by AICTE, Government of India and accredited by NAAC.
MSNM Besant Ins�tute of PG Management Studies is housed at Besant Vidya Kendra, its integrated campus
comprising academic facili�es, hostels and mess, sports and extracurricular facili�es.
Our ins�tute offers a two year full �me MBA programme leading to the award of post graduate degree by
Mangalore University. Excellent infrastructure, experienced faculty, adequate industry exposure and

With the aggressive push towards rebuilding India by taking formidable steps in manufacturing
and service sector, it is expected that many new and challenging opportuni�es would open up for the
educated youth. With every field in economy, business and technology ge�ng highly specialized, the job
dynamics for the aspiring students also are becoming more complex. To meet the ever-changing
corporate expecta�ons, we at MSNM Besant Ins�tute have been striving to impart the contemporary
employability skills to our students in addi�on to the relevant knowledge and core values. The con�nued
par�cipa�on of corporate recruiters in the past and the successful track record of our alumni have been
our strengths all through.
Our students of the 2017-18 batch have demonstrated high level of involvement in academics,

A versa�le personality with rich industry and academic experience, he has served in the Syndicate Bank for more
than two decades in various senior capaci�es. He has also headed a Na�onal B-School for a period of five years.
He has travelled widely and has presented papers in Na�onal and Interna�onal Conferences. He has published
ar�cles in leading journals and authored a book on Modern Banking. His interests are training, investment
consultancy and behavioral science.
Dr. Ravisha B.M.Com, MBA (HRM), Ph. D
Assistant Professor
Enjoying the dis�nc�on of comple�ng both UGC NET exam and JRF in his maiden a�empt, his areas of interest
are Human Resource Management and Business Sta�s�cs. He has par�cipated in conferences and workshops
organized by various pres�gious ins�tu�ons and has published papers in na�onal journals. He trains candidates
for ap�tude tests.

With rich industry and academic experience of over two decades, he has organized several workshops and
conferences for both students and members of teaching community. He has successfully executed many
industry consultancy projects and also par�cipated in various conferences and workshops organized by
pres�gious ins�tu�ons apart from publishing papers in na�onal journals.

Chief Librarian
She has 17 years of academic experience and has par�cipated in various conferences and workshops and has
also presented papers in na�onal conferences. Her areas of interests are Management Informa�on Systems and
Human Resources.
Ms. Usha MograMBA (Marke�ng)
Assistant Professor
She has over six years of teaching experience in PG and UG levels and has handled a wide range of subjects in
management. She completed her BBM and MBA , specializing in Marke�ng from Mangalore University. She has
completed NET in her first a�empt. Having spent her early childhood in New York, USA as well as two years in
Kuwait, she has the added advantage of understanding the nuances of the interna�onal consumer market. She
has par�cipated in various seminars and workshops. She has the ability to handle the finer details of any ac�vity
to enable its smooth and successful comple�on.

An alumnus of MSNM Besant Ins�tute of PG Management Studies, he has corporate experience in hospital
administra�on and corporate rela�onship. He has also cleared UGC Net Exam and worked as lecturer in
Mangalore University. His areas of interest are teaching, research, banking and finance.
Mr. Prashanth Kumar A.M. Com, MBA (Finance)Assistant Professor
Having over six years of teaching experience in leading educa�onal ins�tu�ons, he has authored 13 research publica�ons. He teaches accounts, E- Commerce, Principles Of Management.
MBA with more than 12 years of work experience, with exper�se in business development, key account management, Channel Sales Management, New territory development, interna�onal experience and regional profile. He has worked in companies such as Allergan, Carl F Interna�onal in India and Singaporeand Ingersoll Rand. He was the Managing partner at Design Block, an Interior Solu�ons startup based in Mangalore, comprising of a team of Architects, Interior Designers and Interior Contractors. He has over 5 years of teaching experience in the field of Marke�ng. Presently purusing his PhD in VTU in the field of Online Marke�ng, his passions include cycling and photography.

She has secured first rank and gold medal in the MBA examina�ons conducted by Mangalore University. Being
qualified as the UGC NET JRF in her first a�empt, she has four years of research experience. She has submi�ed
her PhD thesis to Mangalore University for evalua�on in the area of Social Economy. Her research interests are in
the area of social enterprises and social entrepreneurship. She has presented research papers in various na�onal
and interna�onal conferences. Her research papers have also been published in UGC recognized journals. She
has also a�ended several workshops and seminars organized by reputed ins�tu�ons.
With 17 years of academic and research experience, she has authored wide range of research ar�cles and

Professional Work Experience : 12 Years Mr. Robin Shinde worked in Morgan Stanley as HR Assistant for 3 years post which he decided to join academics.
