Used to Educate people about the hospital and hospital issues.
In 2010, 870 hospitals have over 2,260 social media sites.
Example: One Texas hospital used social media to educate people on the new EHR (Texas hospital systems).

7. ROI / ROO
Return on Investment (ROI)- A way to measure success of an advertising campaign taking into account things like the amount increase in revenue after the implementation of the new ad campaign. This measurement is more monetary based and can be measured by monetary gain or loss (Shaw, 2010).
Return on Outcome (ROO)- This is based on more positive attitudes towards the campaign rather than monetary change. Just because someone didnt buy your product doesnt mean this didnt have an impact. This measures things such as the number of hits on a website (Dowden).
