What does it mean to be a witness against yourself?

Amendment V - “…nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.”

• Recent Applicable Supreme Court ruling on this one. Think of local cases involving the railroads in South Dakota or pipelines from Canada.

6th Amendment - “In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial,…”"For too long, Washington's speedy trial rule has been out of balance.  This was never meant to be a rule to allow criminals to escape justice. It was meant to ensure timeliness in the trial process.“ - Rep. Roger Bush, R-Graham

Eschew homonyms: You should include an explanation of the terms impartial and jury.
