PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The MediaPAK TM module is factory-filled with your choice of Purafil dry-chemical media. Each module is then placed on a media settling table to ensure a packed bed and packaged in a pro- tective plastic bag. The MediaPAK TM offers effortless maintenance; including no need to empty spent media, refill with new media or vacuum to remove dust. MODULE LIFE The life of the media contained within a PK-12 module depends upon several factors: airflow rates, gases present, gas levels and system size. The following are general guidelines for module replacement: Light Industrial: Up to 16 months Heavy Industrial: Up to 10 months To ensure your system is functioning at optimum efficiency, contact your Purafil representative for more information about Purafil’s monitoring and media testing services. APPLICATION PARAMETERS AIRFLOW: Designed for airflows up to 250 ft/min (1.27 m/sec) for one total module. HUMIDITY: 10 - 95% RH TEMPERATURE: -4°F to 125°F (-20°C to 51°C) THE PK-12 MEDIAPAK TM DISPOSABLE PLASTIC MODULE is maintenance- free and comes to you ready to be installed. When the media is spent the old module is simply replaced with a new one; no tools required. The MediaPAK TM module slides easily into and out of the system on tracking. PK-12 MODULE SYSTEM ADVANTAGES RIGID AND DURABLE CON- STRUCTION: The MediaPAK TM module is constructed of polystyrene plastic, making it suitable for varying climates and environmental conditions. The module's rigid frame eliminates the possibility of bowing, which could cause air bypass within the system. This guarantees maxi- mum system efficiency throughout the life of the media. EASY TO HANDLE AND LIFT: Each PK-12 module is designed as two units, making the overall module easier to lift. ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY: The MediaPAK TM module is constructed of 100% recyclable plastic. The module contains your choice of Purafil dry-chemical media, which is non-toxic and non-hazardous as supplied. DISPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS: To recy- cle the MediaPAK TM module, spent media should first be discarded. You may then take the empty module to a local recycling facility. To dispose of the entire module, including media, Purafil advises you to follow local, state and federal regulations. INNOVATIVE POSI-TRACK TM TECHNOLOGY: The PK-12 MediaPAK TM module is an integral part of Purafil’s horizontal airflow systems, which fea- tures Purafil’s Posi-Track TM self-seal- ing technology (patent-pending). The Posi-Track TM technology incorpo- rates slanted tracking to support the MediaPAK TM modules via a correspon- ding angled notch in the modules’ frame. The weight of the module forces it against the channel and creates a positive seal with the tracking, preventing air bypass and increasing system efficiency.
