QUESTION ONE.

Which magazine name do you think is most appropriate and expresses the sub-genre of my magazine clearly?Adam: I quite like the name inferno. Its meaning of hell reflects the genre of the music- in your case hard rock. It gives a sense that the magazine is going to be sort of gothic and dark.

Sarah: Underground is pretty good. Like Adam said, its also quite dark, and also relates to hell- being underground.

Michael: Infernos an awesome name. No magazines called inferno, or anything close!

Hattie: I agree. Infernos cool- unique. But I also like smash as well.

Wez: I dunno. Probably inferno- its quite different isn’t it.

What type of images do you think I should include in my magazine?Adam: The big image on the front should be of a band, then the rest of your pictures should be solo artists and thing sthat relate to the people who read it, like skateboarding, tattoo shops, offers.. Yeah.

Sarah: The front cover picture should be of an artist who follows the sort of stereotype of the music genre. Im talking tattoos, piercings, maybe a beard *ha ha*.

Michael: Just rock bands and solo artist. Have them shown in a sort of dark manner, rebel like.

Hattie: Yeah Michaels right; the magazines called inferno so the pictures have gotta be kinda scary and dark.

What content should be included in my magazine?Adam: Interviews, competitions, new bands- things like that.

Sarah: Because the magazine is new, it should include new artists of your genre; where there is a gap in the market, but should also refer to globally known ones.

Michael: It should have gig information, tour dates of bands and stuff.

Hattie: Articles about bands and artists- this will make readers know them more personally.

Wez: Basically everything normal magazines have. Competitions, articles, interviews, that sort of stuff.

Sarah: Blacks, yellows, reds.. Maybe some green and blue in the writing.

Michael: Yeah. A lot of black, and I like the idea of green, that’s kinda cool.

Hattie: Black and red, red implies danger and blood… scary *ha ha* Red title?

Wez: Black and yellow- black background and yellow writing over the top. That would look quite good.

QUESTION FIVE

How much do you think the magazine should cost?Adam: Depending on how much stuff Is in it. If theres a lot of content, then about three quid.

Sarah: I think one pound ninety nine is a decent price. Its not breaking the bank, and the readers might not be that rich.

Michael: Yeah, one pound ninety nine sounds ideal.

Hattie. I think two pound fifty. One ninety nine is too cheap for a new magazine.

Wez: I wouldn’t wanna spend a lot of money so one ninety nine yeah.
