Pitch Our film will be called ‘A step too far’. The story is set in a home video style, three teenage friends decide to go camping down in the dene and video their night. The teenagers take drink with them to get drunk and have a good time until one friend brings drugs and gets messed up leading to his disappearance. The other two friends just assume their friend will come back, however they end up falling asleep and wake up to find their friend has not returned. This leads them on a frantic hunt to find their friend expecting to find him asleep somewhere, but that isn’t what they find, instead they find him dead on the floor, murdered, but by whom? The title sequence will involve camera effects which will relate to the storyline of the film. The enigma will leave the audience/ viewers confused to who killed one of the friends, a human or an act of a supernatural force. We will show the titles coming up the screen as the dene is shown in a positive light which reflects the ideas that the teenagers have of the dene before the killing. The dene in the background of the titles will be a slow paced walk through the dene without anyone in to create a mysterious feel. Our film will be a British independent film; this is because our film can get funded by the British film council. Also we will use low budget actors who aren’t very know, this is so the story can be shown as more believable and not distracting by a well known actor. With us using low budget actors it will save money so more can be spent on the production of the film, also with saving money it creates more room for a profit at the end when it gets released. Pitch in 25 words ‘One dene, three friends, drugs and alcohol. Seem fun? Not for these three friends. A supernatural killing leaves them one friend down’
