COOPERATIVE LEARNING
Cooperation is working together to accomplish
shared goals. Within cooperative situations,
individuals seek outcomes that are beneficial to
themselves and beneficial to all other group
members. Cooperative learning is the instructional
use of small groups so that students work together
to maximize their own and each other’s learning.
Collaborative vs
Cooperation?
SITUATION:
The head of department assigned you a course that will provide
students with the skills of designing an automated machine.
The intended learning outcomes are
1. Identify the principles of design in mechanical engineering (C2)
2. Design an automated machine (C5, P4)
OR USE YOUR OWN SUBJECT/COURSE LEARNING
OUTCOMES
THE GROUP TASK
Understand a set of learning outcome
Identify an SCL approach
Study the concept, benefits and assessment
Match with your L&T plan
Promote the SCL
