Dear Chairperson Abe-Koga,

As you know, I was recently appointed to the VTA Board of Directors representing City

Grouping 5. I am truly humbled by the confidence the West Valley cities have placed in

me to represent their regional interests and to advocate for the cities in our county. I

am excited to rejoin the Board of Directors and look forward to working with you and

the other members.

Based on my past experience as a Board Member, serving as Chairperson and Vice

Chairperson, as well as my experience on the Policy Advisory Committee, serving

currently as Chairperson, I wish to place my name in nomination for the position of

Board Vice Chairperson for the 2012 term.

Thank you for considering my interest in this position. Once again I look forward to

working with you, the members of the Board, and the VTA staff to advance

transportation infrastructure and services within our county and region.
