3. PROVIDING ADVERTISING MATERIALS (ORIGINAL-MOCK-UP ADVERTISEMENTS)

3.1. Colour3.1.1. PDF documents may not contain spot colours, RGB, LAB, ICC profi les, OPI.3.1.2. All provided materials must be according to the colour model CMYK.3.1.2. In the event that the document contains spot colours, they will be coverted to CMYK without further notice.

3.2. Mock-ups prepared for printing in PDF format3.2.1. We accept fi les in PDF format, completely prepared for print. This means that these fi les must meet all tech-

nical requirements of PIRSTON PUBLISHING FOR ADVERTISING MATERIALS FOR PRESENTATION IN THE «PIRSTON» TITLE.

3.2.2. Composite print PDF fi les must be saved in version 1.3, or compatible with PDF/X 1a norms.3.2.3. Advertisements must be single page, of the correct dimensions, centred, with cropping marks and a 5mm

border on all sides. MediaBox must be 20 mm larger than a TrimBox PDF.3.2.4. PDF fi les may not contain: spot colours, RGB, LAB, ICC profi les, OPI, negative characters smaller than 9 point,

characters smaller than 5 point, and hair lines. Spot colours will be converted to CMYK without further notice.3.2.5. Any objects which are not on the border must be 8 mm from the clear format of the advertisement (safety zone

– because of magazine binding and technological cropping tolerance of +/-2 mm).3.2.6. Files with a resolution of less than 300 dpi will be considered to be previews, and will be returned.
