10.09 Student feedback mechanism on Institutional Governance / Faculty performance:

For student’s feedback collections, the printed forms are distributed amongst the student at the end of each

semester. The following criteria are evaluated by the students within the scale of 1 to 5:

1. Knowledge in Subject,

2. Classroom teaching and communication

3. Sincerity

4. Attitude towards students

5. Facilitating overall development of students

The valid and completely filled feedback forms are collected and analyzed.

10.10 Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students:

There exists the grievance redressal cell for staff and students, where a student or a faculty is having any

grievances; he/she contacts the Grievance Committee or Cell. After the grievance is registered with the member

secretary, depending upon the nature of the grievances, a matter is take up over in the next meeting or in the

emergency an ad-hoc meeting is called to discuss the matter. The person has been asked to present the affecting

grievance in front of the committee and after due deliberations hearing is given in the matter.

i. A student can lodge a complaint or grievance with the teacher-in-charge or any member of Student Grievance

Cell. The student can also drop the complaint or grievance in the complaint box.

ii. The Teachers-in-charge will separately discuss the issue with concerned student. The teacher incharge shall try

to resolve the Grievance at his/her level only.

iii. If the Grievance is not resolved at his/her level then the teacher-in-charge will communicate the issue to Student

Grievance Committee.

iv. The Member Secretary of Student Grievance Committee shall call a meeting with the permission of

Chairman, to discuss the case.

v. The Member Secretary shall take a feedback from respective Head of Department and/or other concerned staff

member(s) and the student(s).

vi. The members of Student Grievance Committee will discuss the issue with the applicant student.

vii. The Chairman of the committee will take the decision based on the inputs received from the Applicant and

other concerned staff member(s) and students.

2. CMAT: - The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a National Level Entrance Examination

for admission to Management Programme(s) in the country. This Test facilitates AICTE affiliated

10.21

10.21.1 Academic Sessions:

The Postgraduate program is of Two years duration. Each year is divided into two semesters. All the students are

expected to attend every lecture, tutorial & practical class. However, to account for late registration (by

permission), sickness and other valid reasons (permitted by Head of Department), the attendance requirement will

be a minimum of 75% of the classes actually held. However, students attending only practical’s are not considered

for grant of term. Absence in lectures will also lead to non-grant of terms even if all practical are completed. All

students are notified of their default every month to give them a chance to improve.

Students must perform all the practical’s conducted in the laboratory and submit the assignment on time on the date

notified. The term-work marks are displayed in each month. The marks are not allotted to the students, if they fail

to complete the stipulated experiments, or if Term work is not assessed or if they do not submit the term work.

After certification of journal, students are required to submit the journal in person in respective Laboratory /

Department. Non-submission of journals is considered as default.

10.22.1 Counseling / Mentoring:

Each faculty member is assigned a group of students to take care of their educational and emotional needs. The

faculty members keep a track of students’ attendance and performance level in examinations and offers counseling

whenever necessary. Telephone numbers of these faculty members are made available to the parents

The training and placement department prepares the students for on campus recruitment. The training comprises of

soft skills like communication skills and interview techniques. A large number of students are placed during the

campus recruitment during the first week itself.

The Institute has tied up with a leading hospital in the vicinity to admit any of our students on presentation of

Identity Card. A doctor visits the institute for two hours every working day.
