INTRODUCTIONThe OJT training system is designed to help you do your job more safely and effectively and to progress in your career with Transocean. It is a rig-based system and focuses on the specifi c tasks of each job. The OJT system allows you to progress at your own pace, with the help of your supervisor.

PREREQUISITEBefore you start this module, you must complete the HS&E OJT Module.

OBJECTIVESUpon completion of this module, you should be able to:

1. demonstrate how to operate the specifi c pipe racking system on board your installation,2. explain rig specifi c TSTP’s (Task Specifi c THINK Procedures) and maintenance procedures for the pipe racking system,3. perform all of the functions provided for the pipe racking system safely and competently, and4. troubleshoot and correct possible malfunctions.

TRAINING MATERIALThe Pipe Racking System OJT Module includes:

1. a mandatory task list, which is a list of jobs you must be able to perform,2. self-study reference library content, and3. review questions.

TRAINING PROCEDUREThe task list is the measure of progress in your training. As you prove competence, your supervisor will sign off each specifi c task. Your supervisor may write in additional installation specifi c tasks depending on operations. Completion of the task list is mandatory.

The supporting self-study multimedia programs, videos and books are provided to help you to better know how to perform the responsibilities of your job position. The use of these tools is voluntary. Most training participants will fi nd the tools very helpful in providing fundamental knowledge.

When you fi nish the task list requirements to your supervisor’s satisfaction, you will have to successfully complete a computer-generated fi nal test which verifi es your knowledge of topics in the module.

Upon successful completion of the OJT task list and fi nal test to meet internal and regulatory requirements the following shall be completed: - supervisors fi ll out the Completion Notifi cation Form (CNF) ensuring that the employee comments section is also completed,- accredit the participant and scan the completed CNF in GMS, and- maintain the completed task list in the personnel fi le on board the installation so that it is available for verifi cation and audit.

Note: Training participant should maintain a copy of the CNF for personal record of completion.
