Business users have found it difficult to gain meaningful insights into how their audience is engaging

with their content. Sites like Pinterest have grown in popularity however, business struggle to show

a meaningful ROI from activities on these sites. While you can check new followers, likes, repins and

comments via the activity feed those in itself were not adequate parameters to justify investment on

these channels.

If you have been struggling with these questions, the Analytics tool from Pinterest plans to answer

What is Pinterest? Pinterest is a pinboard-style photo sharing website that allows users to create and manage theme-

based image collections such as events, interests, hobbies, and more. Users can create or browse

other pinboards, 're-pin' images to their own pinboards, or 'like' photos. Pins can be created by

uploading your own images or by pinning them from a website.

Pin boards can be creating by adding from Pinterest website.

Pinboards can also be created by adding a Pinterest Boomarklet/Pinterest Button to your browser

bar, which can let you pin images from any website while browsing.

Understanding the Interface:

Site Metrics Tab The first graph shows many pins and repins your site receives and how many unique visitors are pinning and

repinning for a given date range. This data can help you identify your most popular content and your most

active users which engage with your brand.

This can also form an important part of persona mapping.

The graphs in the second half of the dashboard give you the impression and clicks for your pins. Impressions

measure the number of times your pinned content came up in searches and on member's boards. Reach refers

to the specific number of people that saw your pins.

Numbers on the left indicate the total count for the selected time period and a percentage indicating the

increase or decrease from the previous period.

Most Recent Tab shows you all of your recent pins. The Most Recent tab shows only pins from your site that

you've pinned.

Most Repinned Tab tracks your repinned pins; it splits them up into each instance, so you'll see the same pin

over and over, but with different users and boards indicated each time.

Most Clicked Tab is arranged just like Most Repinned, so that you can see each individual pin, who did it, and

where they pinned it.

The Most Recent, Most Repinned, and Most Clicked tabs are for pages that look like standard Pinterest Boards
